Now hiring a Controls & Reporting Accountant to join our team in Carrigaline, Cork on a permanent basis
We are the concentrate team in PepsiCo (PGCS) working across the Beverage, Nutrition and Snacks categories to deliver concentrate for many of PepsiCo’s mega brands including Gatorade, 7Up and Pepsi.

Role Summary
This role is a key member of the Cork Financial Reporting Team and is responsible for core elements of the periodic financial reporting for the Pepsi North America business. It will involve consolidation and reporting for the relevant entities for concentrate supply and support services for the North America business.
The role is responsible for ensuring the timely, complete and accurate financial reporting including General Ledger accounting work, preparation accurate Trial Balance for HFM loads, P&L (Flash) and Balance Sheet reporting, HFM reporting schedule preparation and period close review and sign off.
Primary Accountabilities
General:
· Month-end, period-end and year-end closing for Cork and Singapore concentrate manufacturing plants
· Quarterly balance sheet movement analysis
· Review and approve intercompany reconciliations, leading actions to resolve aged items.
· Provide guidance on accounting for intercompany – Non-trade invoices
· Ensuring all balance sheet account reconciliations are performed timely
· Ensure all GL accounting transactions are completed timely in accordance with month/period end checklist
· Provide GL accounting support to other teams including Accounts payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury and Operations Finance
· Coach more junior team members (junior accountants and Interns) on the concentrate model and seek admin support if and where necessary
US Business:
· Primary Cork Control & Reporting team contact point for North America business
· Owner of financial reporting for the concentrate activities (GCS) related to the North America PBC sector (1) General Ledger journal entry and trial balance management (2) P&L and Balance Sheet reporting (3) HFM Reporting including P, Q & A schedules.
· Owner of the Flash file which contains all North America related activity
· Secondary (Back-Up) contact point for the GGCS (Gatorade) reporting
· Support resource for PGCS SAP to NA SAP interfacing. Ensure complete, accurate and timely transfer of numbers from PGCS SAP to NA SAP system
· Ensure accurate reporting of periodic results, ensuring compliance with local/US reporting requirements and adherence with the principles of the Concentrate model.
· Deliver accurate and timely response to queries from PBC, Gatorade and Corporate stakeholders
· Liaise with Finance Operations team members on periodic COGS, MOH, S&D and Capital related entries
· Control: GCS (Global Control Standard) & SOX control owner for the PBC reporting controls. Ensure control effectiveness through consistent execution and quarterly monitoring
· Process improvement: Leverage Smartview to deliver reporting improvements and value add reporting for the GCS & GGCS North America businesses
International Business:
· Support the complete, timely and accurate delivery of Cork and Singapore financial results through structured joint-effort with the PGCS Cork Reporting Supervisor.
· Key deliverables include but are not limited to (i) Accurate General Ledger transfer to HFM system (ii) Preparation of the monthly reporting schedules (management reports, HFM reporting including P & Q schedules) (iii) Liaising with C&R team, Sector and BU teams to deliver accurate feedback on all relevant queries (iv) Reconciliation of HFM to GL & BI reports (v) Updating and remediating any controls failures within process.
· Ensure accurate and timely financial reports through Smartview HFM application, accurate country P&L’s, and identification of opportunities for streamlining of financial operations and ensuring GCS requirements are adhered with.

Essential
· Bachelor’s Degree with a Business, or IT background, and an equivalent Accounting Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA)
· Strong communication skills to all levels of management
· Must be detail-oriented, a quick learner, and self-motivated
· Strong IT aptitude and analytical skills.
· Ability to integrate well within a team environment
· Results orientated and commitment to achieving objectives
· Proven track record in applying business judgment, through experience and insights gained in large projects and through the analysis of business cases from a business logic perspective
· Be a self-starter and able to work autonomously as well as being flexible
· Exhibit a strong 'can-do', 'will-do' attitude and strong sense of urgency in meeting deadlines. Desired
· SAP GL experience preferable
· Multinational company experience in Financial Control and Reporting preferable
· Able to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines, while at the same time displaying good judgement and business decision making skills.
· Driven to delivery productivity, and process improvement while continuing to apply strategic perspective
· High willingness to learn, develop a strategic mindset, with an ability to take into consideration the “bigger picture”
