Job description
· Assists the Executive Pastry Chef in overseeing all pastry-related operations.
· Ensures the preparation, presentation, and quality of baked goods, desserts, and pastries meet high standards.
· Collaborate with Executive Pastry Chef to create and update the pastry menu.
· Introduce innovative pastry ideas while maintaining consistency.
· Supervise and participate in making desserts, pastries, breads, and confections.
· Lead and guide pastry staff for efficient and timely production.Train and mentor junior pastry chefs, provide feedback and foster creativity.
· Manage inventory, order ingredients, and monitor stock levels.
· Ensure impeccable presentation and service of desserts.
· Minimize waste and optimize ingredient usage to manage food costs.
· Work with Executive Pastry Chef to keep pastry production within budget.
Desired profile
Qualifications :
· Culinary degree or equivalent pastry arts training.
· Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a high-end pastry kitchen, preferably within a 5-star hotel or luxury dining establishment.
· At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership position.
· Food safety certification or equivalent. (preferred)
