Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht is looking for a passionate Commis Chef for a soon to open Specialty Venue !

Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht offers a distinctive hotel experience in the heart of the city, set along the iconic Prinsengracht canal. Housed in the former public library and recently refurbished by renowned Dutch designer Marcel Wanders, the hotel features a stylish and playful interior that pays tribute to Dutch heritage—from the Golden Age to today. Every corner reveals a story, reflecting the creative spirit and unique charm of Amsterdam.

WE’RE LOOKING FOR A UNIQUE COMMIS CHEF

A unique hotel experience requires unique personnel. Quirky even, with their own style and even a sense of humor. People who love people, because we actively encourage you to interact with our guests. You are an important part of what makes their stay memorable.

Some of your tasks

· Assist in the kitchen, contributing to the overall success of the outlets and banquets, in accordance with the hotel’s standards

· Store food in designated areas;

· Clean work areas, equipment and utensils

· Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment;

· Carve various cooked meats;

· Assist in quality control of items;

· Set up buffet presentations;

· Work closely with other employees in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests;

Your experience

· You have at least 1 year of experience working as Commis / Kitchen Assistant;

· A love for Mediterranean cuisine and passion for fresh, local ingredients;

· You have good language and communication skills in English and preferably in Dutch as well;

· You know all about HACCP;

· You have a flexible schedule and do not mind working in evenings, weekends and/or holidays;

· You are legally allowed to work in the Netherlands, holding an EU/EEA passport or a valid work permit for the country (we do not assist with Visa / permit applications).
