We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Process Automation Lead

 

Role Purpose:

A subject matter expert, who has in-depth knowledge of RPA management. Plays a key role in not just problem solving but also identifying RPA needs during the implementation to drive business efficiency.

Also helps in the strategic direction in BAU processes.

The role holder will:

·  Promote strategic direction to the overall department.
·  Clearly articulate and disseminate functional priorities, engaging with the team members and driving them to perform at the highest level.
·  Provide guidance and thought leadership to the automation delivery teams so that services are built and delivered in line with Governance Principles.
·  Collaborate with Business and Vendor teams to redefine the process and identify opportunities for Automation.
·  Share industry best practices. Continuously explore new tools, engage with product vendors on product roadmaps and PoCs, and evaluate technology relevance / effectiveness.
·  Drive adherence to HSBC's guidelines, service level agreements and statutory requirements at all instances.

Main Activities:

·  Oversees the management and implementation of the technical solutions and providing technical support for live processes built by the DOC.
·  Manages the delivery of projects against agreed timelines and business requirement.
·  Lead a positive work environment and promote teamwork to drive engagement.
·  Foster close collaboration between the DOC, CoE, OTPE and Business Services.
·  Participate in appraisal processes as appropriate.
·  Line management for direct reports and adhering to HSBC performance management guidelines.
·  Inspire and engage people through policy to create an inclusive, high performing, and client-centric culture, enhancing the client experience.
·  Creates an environment which encourages development and uplifts capability within the team.

Requirements

·  Strong understanding of Automation technologies, the operational processes and when Automation should be used.
·  Awareness of industry best practice RPA methodology, design standards and tools.
·  Awareness of at least one of the Automation technologies in the DOC toolkit.
·  Previous experience within IT or Automation (1+ year) and Line Management environment.
·  History of successful delivery of business transformation or IT programs.
·  Proven track record in a similar role would be advantageous.
·  Strong leadership skills and demonstrates strategic thinking.
·  The role requires an articulate individual, comfortable dealing with management.
·  Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
·  Excellent interpersonal skills required.
·  Must be well organized and able to multi-task effectively and efficiently.
·  Experience in negotiation and conflict management.
·  Ability to problem solve, clearly articulate requirements, and implement and drive change.
