Reporting to the Head of Funds and Alternatives, this is a newly created position resulting from expansion within the Wealth department in International Wealth and Premier Banking Australia. The role presents an opportunity to join a dynamic Wealth business, working across broad functions. Working under the guidance of the Head of Funds and Alternatives and closely with our investment partners, you will be responsible for product management functions. You will work closely with and learn from a team of experienced investment management professionals and gain knowledge and understanding of various funds and alternative investment strategies.
Your main responsibilities will include:
· Support product management, maintenance, development and compliance of HSBC Australia product offerings, particularly in funds and alternative products.
· Ensure strong product control, governance and compliance with all regulatory and policy requirements.
· Manage the development of new funds or alternative products based on HSBC Insights and customer needs.
· Work closely with the Investment Desk and Operations support team to support and build distribution opportunities.
· Project management of changes to product as a result of enhancements, response to legislation or clients.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
· Bachelor’s degree in a Finance and/or business-related field with relevant work experience in product management across Private Banking, funds management and/or financial services.
· Working knowledge of Australian Wealth Management, Private Banking and Financial Advice Regulation for investment products for retail and wholesale clients.
· Deep domain expertise of wealth products, such as alternatives, managed funds, bonds, ETFs, and other investment solutions.
· Natural curiosity to find innovative ways to enhance current processes and procedures.
· Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrating the ability to influence as well as developing strong and productive relationships with key senior management and colleagues in a complex environment.
Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
