Global Finance is integral to HSBC’s purpose and strategy, playing a valued role in managing costs and deploying capital in the most effective way. Our global team of finance professionals partner with the business to provide trusted insights and forward looking analysis with accuracy and efficiency, and to frame and influence business decisions.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will:

•    Accountable to the HBCN CFO's (Entity Manager); ASP Finance Head of Strategy and Execution and Head of Finance Change (Functional Manager)
•    Create a high-performing and diverse team across the Market. Supporting the transition and establishing the correct operating model and related transformation objectives
•    Manage the HBCN CFO scorecard, implementation of objectives and targets 
•    Support CFO in managing people and talent objectives, resourcing requirements, communication plans. Drive the people agenda in the market supporting the delivery of any local people led strategy initiatives, ensuring key stakeholders are connected 
•    Manage the total cost base of the Market; including planning, setting, forecasting, monitoring and allocating the budget
•    Identify and execute on opportunities to drive cost reduction, resulting in sustainable saves and achievement of Global Finance cost targets
•    Support CFO with the operating model, vision and strategy build out
•    Ensure effective governance structures, framework and processes are in place across the Markets to drive consistent and effective management of Non-Financial Risks and effective operations of the Global Finance function (where applicable in alignment with CFO objectives for 2LOD relating to Financial Reporting Risk and SOX controls)
•    Team leadership and management of direct reports, including effective performance management, talent management and succession planning (where applicable)
•    Review management reports, presentations and papers and provide periodic updates for the CFO as required
•    Effective delivery, oversight and/or governance over Finance specific and market-wide transformation activities as applicable
•    Drive and facilitate the identification and adoption of best practice across the Finance function to enable the highest operational standard

•    Exceptionally numerate, highly analytical, articulate, lateral thinker.
•    Sound process-design ability and track-record of successful project management.
•    Excellent organisational skills and an ability to juggle priorities to meet varied and sometimes ambiguous requirements
