The UK Customer Propositions & Marketing function (CP&M) is focused on supporting the strategic and revenue growth priorities of the Bank by delivering Fair outcomes for customers. The function focuses on understanding customers and the identification, development and execution of marketing strategies, campaigns and activities that support and strengthen the brand, drive revenue and increase customer value and satisfaction in order to meet agreed targets and objectives at market level.

As part of the Bank’s Risk Framework and within the role’s SMR responsibilities, the Head of Customer Propositions & Marketing UK is required to ensure Marketing Risk & Controls are fit-for-purpose to manage business risk.  To support this role, we have an exciting new opening for a Senior Risk & Control Manager. You will be responsible for managing all risk and control operational matters, through appropriate stakeholder engagement & management and through ensuring the education and communication of Non Financial Risk frameworks across the UK CP&M team.

  In this role you will:

·       Manage, co-ordinate and administrate CP&M risk & control and Control Testing framework.

·       Attendance at Governance forums . Lead monthly T2 risk governance meeting for CP&M.

·       Continual assessment of the available MI/data, providing recommendations for improvement and identifying gaps in reported performance.

·       Provide best practice, identifying and using new and creative methods of communication to maximise engagement from the Marketing Leadership Team and other key stakeholders   

·       Ensure that the Marketing team operates in a consistent and compliant manner by co-ordinating governance and operational management issues, ensuring adherence to Global Standards and relevant FIMs

·       Lead the CP&M Risk & Control team.

 

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

·  A record of success and aptitude in the area of Risk & Controls within a marketing function
·  Ideally experience within Banking but experience in a highly regulated environment is a must
·  Demonstrable experience as a people manager
·  Communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
·   Build effective networks across business areas, developing relationships based on mutual trust and encouraging others to do the same 
·   Interpret complex MI to make this user friendly for senior leaders
·  Ability to challenge the status quo and embrace change

 

This role is based in Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Sheffield or Whitely in a hybrid model
