We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Delivery Head (Regional Head of Wholesale Infrastructure China) .
Business: CTO
Principal responsibilities
· Report to the Global Head of Wholesale Enterprise Services on day-to-day delivery and take part in the organization strategy design and execution in support of delivering best-in-class infrastructure services for the business.
· Provide entity management responsibility for the Wholesale infrastructure teams in China and oversee the strategy execution in the region to ensure successful delivery of business values and outcomes.
· Manage the Technology Risk and Control portfolio for Wholesale on prioritized control areas and drive continuous improvements on control governance and effectiveness through adoption of AI and automation.
· Actively engage product end-users to understand customer requirements and work collaboratively with engineering teams and CTO to improve product efficiency and drive tangible business-aligned improvements and benefits to ensure operationally that new features deliver business value.
· Lead the development and adoption of the global infrastructure automation products, including and not limited to DIGS (Digital Infrastructure Global Services) platform, certificate renewal automation and lifecycle management, role-swap automation, technology upgrade automation as well as all other pre-existing and future technology products that will help take forward self-service enablement and process simplifications across all infrastructure change activities, operations, and service management tasks.
· Identify and lead other innovations / initiatives which will result in efficiency and quality improvements and uplift service resilience capabilities for the organization.
· Builds and maintains relations between the organizational end-users, the product teams and management teams across HSBC Technology.
· Collaborate with Service Management Disciplines and Service Management Practice resources to ensure adherence to the Service Management best practice and adoption.
Requirements
· Proven experience in delivering large, complex infrastructure or service resilience uplift projects in a highly demanding environment.
· Proven experience in managing senior stakeholders and co-ordinating global teams with a clear understanding of the communication strategies required to handle both.
· Excellent communication and writing skills to build and maintain effective relationships with the user community and product suppliers. Articulate, fluent in English and Cantonese.
· Customer Focus – proven capabilities in listening to customer requirements. Put the customer at the heart of everything we do.
· Proven ability to navigate HSBC teams and structures – the ideal candidate will already have a stellar network within HSBC.
· Self-motivated and willing to learn and take responsibilities. Be open to act on any feedback given.
· Leadership – proven capability in motivating people both in and outside their team. creating a team-led culture
· Passionate – Has the passion and drive to push the development and adoption of the product set in the wider organization.
· Having a strategic mindset, are forward looking and always look for opportunities to improve the product.
· A board understanding of service management techniques, including change management, incident management, Data Centre Operations, and configuration management.
· Able to work at flexible hour for late evening meeting with colleagues in various regions.
· Willing to learn or explore various new technologies.
Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
