What you do:
As the Vice President of Digital IT you will lead and be accountable for our organization's digital IT transformation efforts and anticipate future needs – which includes development and execution of our organization’s comprehensive digital strategy – in collaboration with the VP CIO. In this role you will be responsible for driving innovation and acting as a change agent to foster a digital/AI-first mindset across the organization. You will develop and implement comprehensive digital strategies with cross-functional teams to transition traditional processes into efficient digital solutions. Promoting collaboration, knowledge sharing, and best practices, the VP will build a robust digital ecosystem.
You will be expected to set ambitious goals, rigorously pursue results, and foster a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include evaluating ROI for digital projects, managing a $10M digital change portfolio, refining strategies for optimal resource allocation, leading the Interactive governance process, and representing Allianz Life in SE Digitalization initiatives. You will influence global interactive standards, potentially leading global initiatives through Global Market Management, while attracting and managing a high-performing interactive team.
First 12 to 24 Months Goals:
- Employee Experience: Achieve a data-driven culture, leveraging advanced analytics and AI agents to generate actionable insights for leading operations
- Customer Experience: Evolve customer experience and partner with change agents and teams to reduce end-to-end cycle times by 20%.
Develop and Execute Digital IT Strategies
- Develop and execute our organization’s comprehensive strategy.
- Align digital strategies with business goals to ensure cohesive growth and innovation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement strategic digital initiatives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team, constructively challenging assumptions and encouraging open dialogue to ensure the best decisions are made for the business
- Drive the adoption of emerging technologies (AI, cloud, data analytics) to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency, ensuring that both the big picture and critical details are addressed throughout implementation
- Oversee and collaborate with Allianz Technology to execute on digital strategy and operations
Lead Digital IT Teams
- People Leadership: Manage a team of highly skilled individuals within the digital functions. Managing performance, development, coaching and driving the team to success.
- Maintain a strong grasp of technical and operational details, ensuring high standards and quality execution across all projects
- Foster a high-performing team environment focused on interactive excellence.
- Build a data-driven culture, leveraging advanced analytics and AI agents to generate actionable insights for strategic decision-making
- Attract, develop, and retain top digital IT talent, creating an environment where team members are empowered to challenge the status quo and contribute innovative ideas
Manage Digital IT Infrastructure
- Oversee system reliability and security to maintain robust IT and Digital operations.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and data governance.
- Oversee ecosystem of digital transactional partners and service levels
Oversee Digital Transformation Initiatives
- Drive initiatives to improve business processes through digital solutions and AI.
- Advocate for a digital-first mindset across all organizational levels.
Evaluate ROI and Optimize Resource Allocation
- Assess the return on investment for digital projects and refine strategies accordingly.
- Optimize technology investments to support business growth.
Lead Interactive Governance and Global Initiatives
- Lead the Interactive governance process and represent Allianz Life in SE Digitalization initiatives.
- Influence global interactive standards and potentially lead global initiatives through GMM.
- Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI)
What you bring:
- Extensive experience (5 +years) in designing and launching digital platforms, with a track record of leading successful digital transformation projects and managing digital teams
- Strong understanding of core business processes and their technical solutions to scale operations and customer and employee experiences, coupled with an innovative and disruptive mindset
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively with coworkers, fostering a culture of innovation and forward-thinking
- Four-year degree or equivalent work experience required - Finance, Business or related field
- National and international travel may be required, Requires long periods of standing, sitting, computer keyboard, mouse and monitor usage
- You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring immigration sponsorship now or in the future. This includes holders of H-1B, H4, L-1, L-2, TN, OPT, CPT, and other nonimmigrant visas
