The main objective of this role is to safeguard the financial accuracy and reliability throughout the implementation of a new platform across the entire insurance process.

This role involves, overseeing testing strategies, managing exceptions, and facilitating business engagement and approvals. The specialist will collaborate closely with the technology teams to ensure seamless execution of financial processes and strategies.

About the role

  • Provide strategic business input into testing strategies to safeguard the financial accuracy and reliability throughout the implementation of a new platform across the entire insurance process
  • Leading engagement with technology teams executing financial testing, engaging with business units to manage exceptions.
  • Lead and foster collaboration among stakeholders, business partners and senior leaders
  • Lead and execute end-to- end testing for financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organisational standards
  • Delivering programs and projects on time and within budget
  • Ensuring compliance with all project governance structures and other applicable internal and external risk, audit, and compliance frameworks.

 

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline supported by relevant insurance industry qualifications and ANZIIF (or equivalent) accreditations.
  • Extensive finance or reporting background with experience in managing end to end testing for financial transactions for a complex, matrixed financial services/general insurance organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Demonstrated in-depth understanding of strategy development and or working with multiple teams to align strategy with organisational vision and in translating vision to action to achieve desired results.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of governance requirements and frameworks.
  • Proven analytical and critical thinking abilities to facilitate the evaluation of complex and detailed data in the development and management of a range of insurance products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact, and influence.
