About the Job 

 

We are on the lookout for a dynamic and detail orientated Planning Expert to become a pivotal member of our Controlling team. In this influential role, you will be at the heart of our financial planning processes, driving collaboration with business units to strategically plan, forecast, report, and critically evaluate financial KPIs and their key drivers across services, projects, and line cost centers.

 

As the architect of our planning process, you will take ownership of preparing executive materials for plan approval, providing guidance to managers on all financial controlling matters related to planning. Additionally, you will spearhead the coordination of improvement measures, ensuring adherence to controlling-relevant standards.

 

 

What you do

 

  • Manage and drive a comprehensive 3-year planning horizon, collaborating with process stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and preparing guidelines, timelines, and roadmaps for an annual plan.
  • Serve as the product owner for the SAC Planning tool, overseeing business logic and ensuring effective utilization.
  • Orchestrate and steer a dynamic remote planning team and community, fostering collaboration and successful execution of planning activities.
  • Develop strategic recommendations for financial targets across long-, mid-, and short-term planning and forecasting processes.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality in all financial submissions, translating complex data into comprehensive analyses, reports, and dashboards tailored to stakeholders' needs.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of planning-related guidelines, methods, processes, and systems.
  • Provide meaningful feedback and insights during regular interactions with the executive management team to ensure alignment of strategic objectives, while identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies within the planning process.

 

 

What you bring

 

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent professional experience, with relevant work experience in accounting or controlling within an international matrix organization, preferably in IT or telecom industries.
  • Proficiency in controlling systems such as SAP FI-CO/BW/SAP HANA/SAC, with advanced analytical skills and expertise in statistical tools and methodologies for data analysis, including proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and BI/dashboarding tools like PowerBI and SAC.
  • Desirable finance certifications (e.g., IFRS, HGB) and training or certification in service, project, or process management, demonstrating strong analytical thinking with methodological and conceptual capabilities.
  • Leadership and management skills, particularly in orchestrating remote teams and fostering collaboration, complemented by strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting complex data and strategic insights to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in project management or agile methodologies for effective iterative planning and execution, with problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Skill in managing stakeholder expectations and maintaining transparency to ensure project objectives align with business needs.
  • Expertise in moderation and presentation techniques to support strategic initiatives and drive successful outcomes.
