Job role
Communications Intelligence Specialist - The successful candidate will help Allianz continue to build trust and relationships with stakeholders by staying on top of the media news and insights, and by analyzing, curating and relaying that information in communications analytics reports and media intelligence products for our management and other audiences. You will support data-driven decision-making in the Newsroom by providing excellent media analytics; support timely information of employees, communicators and senior management with news products based on excellent news judgement and curation skills. The selection of news and the interpretation follows rigorous editorial standards and curation principles developed by Group Communications.
What you will do
· Conduct campaign specific and ongoing data analysis and reporting for various stakeholders in the Communications department, with data mainly coming from owned social media channels, allianz.com and Connect, it may also include earned and paid media
· Research and prepare reports and analyses on general external studies and secondary research, present these actionable insights and reports in Newsroom meetings
· Final editing of the Allianz Group Media Review and presenting the most important must-reads from the Allianz Group Media Review and top headlines from key media in the Morning Briefing meeting with other Allianz communicators
· Support continuous news monitoring
· Conduct media researches (journalist and media profiles, topic researches), analyze content, prepare insights in pre-aligned formats
· Support in the ongoing management of internal knowledge management SharePoint page
· Support fulfillment of tool compliance requirements for business owner
· Support news management responsibilities, incl. continuous news monitoring - work in shifts Monday to Friday, early shift starts at 7:00 am CET (8:00am Bucharest time), late shift ends at 6pm CET (7pm Bucharest time)
· Research news articles, write headline scans and contribute to Group Communications newsletter products like The Week Ahead (entails work on Sundays, half day shifts in rotation, flexible rotation in alignment with other team members, provide content for The Week Ahead weekly on Mondays by 6am CET and in alignment with senior editor in Munich
What you bring
· University degree in communications, media or social science, or communications analytics background
· Practical working experiences in the fields of media research, media analytics and/or communications
· Able to derive insights from analytical tools to shape outcomes, package and present insights and data in creative, compelling ways
· Excellent knowledge of media channels (Sharepoint, Viva Engage, social media, web), as well as their key metrics
· Very good PowerBI skills essential, Adobe Analytics an advantage
· Very good media literacy
You have
· Ability to judge relevance of content and insights
· Ability to see and interpret patterns in media coverage
· News writing, editing, and curation skills
· Ability to create customer-tailored content
· Understanding of the financial services sector and global trends.
· English native level (excellent oral and written), German very good, other languages a plus
· Very good MS Office skills
· Willingness to work half a day on Sunday once every two weeks
