What you will do
Develop, integrate, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment controls systems, manufacturing systems automation, man-machine interfaces, and industrial communication networks through the utilization of WCM (World Class Manufacturing) principles. Provide leadership and guidance across a sectional level within the Operations Maintenance business functions fostering a continuous improvement culture focused on loss reduction, waste elimination, employee engagement, and application of lean theories.
We are Looking for
A Controls Engineer with strong motivation and engagement to drive a continuous improvement philosophy (human, material, intellectual, and financial) to deliver decided projects at agreed targets. We are a three-shift operation and support beyond first shift is necessary on occasion.
Main activities and responsibilities for this role:
· Develop and provide support to all maintenance programs
· Act as first-level support for Electrical Technicians within a specialized area of assignment
· Respond to production problems on an “on-call” basis
· Perform controls systems assessments to maintain and improve equipment reliability
· Fix and modify software programs including PLC/PC controllers, Allen Bradley and Siemens
· Conduct kaizen improvement activities focused on safety, quality, and cost initiatives
· Data Analysis (current and historical) and Root Cause Analysis
· Drawings and prints (validate, update, control)
· Machine component evaluations (life cycle)
· Develop procedures to improve uptime of the manufacturing equipment
· Determine the best methodology for maintenance of equipment
· Schedule planned maintenance activities working with internal and external customers
· Development and distribute maintenance documentation
· Implementation of business plans and department goals (MTBF, MTTR)
· Perform other job-related duties as needed or assigned

Experience with decision making and influencing ability is key in being able to drive the implementation and necessary changes. Excellent communication skills will ease both team and cross functional work for allowing trustworthy network building.
Specialized Skills:
· RSNetworks, RSLogix 5000, Logix Studio, RSLinks, RSView 32, Panel Builder 32 and future revision of same or additional platforms
· Siemens S7 Simatic, Siemens TIA Portal, Siemens 840D, WinCC Flexible, and platforms related to Siemens automation
· Knowledge of ABB IRC 5 programming Platform
· Programmable Logic Controller Software Development and Design
· Human Machine Interface (HMI) Software Development and Design
· Field Bus Design and Commissioning
· Point to Point I/O Commissioning
· Documentation of PLC Program and Program Structure
· Read and understand blueprints, electrical prints, drawings, controls documentation, product literature and customer specific timing diagrams, etc
· AutoCAD, Inventor, and E-Plan drawing software
Minimum Education and Experience:
· AS degree with a focus in Electronic Technology or equivalent, AND 1-2 years of equivalent professional experience
· Experience working with manual or CNC machine tools. Solid understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
· Proficient in MS Office
· Knowledge of Computerized maintenance management systems
· Planning and scheduling of planned maintenance activities
· Understanding of WCM, and/or TPS (Toyota Production System)
