Summer Internship - Research & Innovation

Job description

Our 2017 Summer Internship Program is designed for professional development with hands-on assignments. Summer Interns will find a challenging and rewarding business experience in a variety of areas all while acquiring an overview of our organization. Interns will work closely with mentors and managers on special projects, and attend valuable workshops throughout the duration of the program. This summer program gives you an opportunity for exposure to a variety of Solvay's Business Units and Service Functions while gaining experience working in a corporate environment.

The intern will assist with the batch foaming of Solvay resins and developing characterization tools for Foams.

Desired profile

The following requirements must be met for consideration in this program:

·  Currently enrolled as a full-time student in a Chemical or Material Science Engineering major.
·  Must have the right to work in the U.S without restrictions.
· 
3.0 GPA or higher.

· 
Prior research experience in a lab

· 
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and database experience.

· 
Excellent writing/verbal communication and presentation skills.

· 
Proven problem-solving, analytical and interpersonal skills.

· 
Perseverant with a keen eye for detail.
