Summer Internship - Oil & Gas Lab

Job description

Our 2017 Summer Internship Program is designed for professional development with hands-on assignments. Summer Interns will find a challenging and rewarding business experience in a variety of areas all while acquiring an overview of our organization. Interns will work closely with mentors and managers on special projects, and attend valuable workshops throughout the duration of the program. This summer program gives you an opportunity for exposure to a variety of Solvay's Business Units and Service Functions while gaining experience working in a corporate environment.

Task Include:

· To develop customer based O&G VES / PPS Associate polymer based viscosifying fluid formulation and evaluate the performance of such fluid under different operation conditions (brine, temperature, impurity, etc.) utilizing core flood equipment, and provide reliable data to his supervisor.
· To be able to go to field and provide customer support.

Desired profile

The following requirements must be met for consideration in this program:

·  Currently enrolled as a full-time student in a science major
·  Science Background in related field (colloidal science, petroleum engineering, chemistry)
·  Must have the right to work in the U.S without restrictions.
· 
3.0 GPA or higher.

· 
Strong Science and technology background, knowledge in chemistry and oilfield is a plus. Previous experience in Oilfield chemical products is preferred.

·  Excellent communication skills and team working sprit and excellent critical thinking and strong problem solving skills
·  Capable of working under pressure and comfort with technical and science
· 
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and database experience.
