SU MAC GBU Key Accountant

Job Overview and Responsibilities:

To be the point of contact for one of the most solid Solvay GBU inside Management Accounting Service Unit Lisbon (SU MAC) assuming the following main responsibilities:

·  Management Accounting Service Unit solid knowledge in the domains Costing, I&D and Reporting;
·  Coordination of GBU Service Review ensuring:
·  Collection of GBU needs, pain points and hot topics;
·  Collection of changes occuring in the GBU;
·  Reporting and highlight on Internal Controls;
·  Proper SBS communication;
·  Highlights on critical topics to be secure in terms of communication inside the GBU;
·  Control of Topics status points raised in previous Service Reviews;

·  Monitoring of the Internal controls (Costing and I&D) performed by the GBU;
·  Preparation of Reporting of Internal Controls during the Service Review;
·  Support and troubleshoot GBU points raised in a daily basis;
·  Interface towards SU MAC stakeholders collaborating permanently and efficiently with Finance Operations, IS Specialists, other Service Unit, GAR, Corporate Controlling and internally in SU MAC on behalf of the GBU;
·  Contribute to Finance process improvement initiatives for GBU plants and problem solving within Management Accounting Domains (Costing, Assets Accounting and Reporting);
·  Streamline improvement in the closing process for GBU plants identified as critical for the GBU;
·  Help on cases indicated by the GBU for the Review in terms of compliance with Group standards ensurance the correctness, timing and application of IFRS rules;
·  Cooperation with remaining GBU Key Accountants pool ensuring benchmark and alignment of the process cross GBUs; 
·  Review priorities and/or plan work with the GBU for the points raised during the Service Review;
·  Report and escalate points internally with SU MAC Lead and/or inside the GBU when necessary and relevant;
·  Perform controls under the responsibilities of the Serv Unit. Supervise and validate internal control efficiency (for all controls performed by non SBS actors);
·  Monitoring Finance process effectiveness of the domains.

Education and Experience:

·  More than 4 years of experience in Finance;
·  Solid knowledge in Management Accounting Domains.

Skills:

·  Fluent in English;
·  Fluency in other languages is a plus;
·  Ability to work under pressure, manage and self set of priorities;
·  Networking skills by enabling immediate intervention in case of issues and allow continuous process improvement;
·  Ability to learn new domains;
·  Open-mindness (seeking other perspectives and recurrent feedback);
·  Resilience, challenger of status quo and assertiveness are a plus;
·  Good communication skills.
