Production Planner

Job description

Novecare develops leading edge technologies that affect the behavior of fluids to give them cleansing, softening, moisturizing, hydrating, gelling, texturizing, penetrating or dispersing properties. Its products are found in shampoos, detergents, paints, lubricants, plant protection, mining and oil extraction.

The Production Scheduler's main responsibilities will analyze demand for finished goods and prepare an efficient production schedule for all production vessels at the Pasadena facility. Plan and schedule production of approximately 100 million lbs/yr of approximately 80 products and intermediates in 2 reactors and 2 blend vessels.

Additional responsibilities:

· Coordinate packaging and material storage at a 3rd party packaging and distribution facility.
· Liaison between the plant and corporate entities when production scheduling is concerned.
· Responsible for the SAP manufacturing, inventory, and customer order management systems.
· Interacts with customers, corporate entities, vendors, other plants, and distribution networks.
· Responsible for the raw material supply processes and the SAP raw material requisitioning system.
· Provide processes for transportation for materials for truck and rail.
· Prepare and present reactor schedule daily
· Provide process orders to operations for production.
· Rearrange schedule to address new or emergency requirements as needed.
· Rearrange schedule as needed due to deviations between actual production and scheduled production.
· Confirm customer orders and transfer orders within prescribed periods.
· Communicate production schedule changes to corporate groups as needed.
· Manage finished goods inventory levels on-site and schedule replenishments as necessary.
· Assist in monitoring raw material inventory levels.
· Conformance to ISO and HSEA procedures and guidelines.
· Monitor and manage inventory levels of packaged finished goods at distribution centers.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

·  High School Diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
·  Minimum of 3 years of SAP production planning experience in a chemical and/or manufacturing environment.
·  Must be fully proficient with SAP manufacturing, inventory, and customer order management systems.
·  Possess a good working knowledge of plant equipment capabilities and familiarity with plant product line.
·  Experience with Truck and Rail transportation.
·  Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
