Job Overview and Responsibilities:

Role Statement and Primary Purpose:
This position is responsible for processing customer orders by issuing production and packaging instructions required to meet the customer's request. A qualified candidate will have knowledge of rotating equipment (ex. conveyors, motors, robots) . Natural progression for this position is into a first class operator position.

Major Responsibilities:

·  Safety - responsible to know, understand, adhere to and champion all workplace, quality, ISO, HSE policies and procedures, including stop work authority. Attends mandatory monthly safety meeting. Reviews all safety concerns  in the database and submits any safety concerns/incidents electronically for review, investigation and resolution of risk.
·  Tends machine that performs one or more packaging functions, such as filling, marking, labeling, or wrapping of various size drums and mag-sacks.
·  Ability to stop machine, trouble-shoots, and makes minor adjustments or repairs.
·  Performs quality check/inspection to ensure outgoing finished goods meet all requirements prior to leaving the facility such as labels, containers. Understands coding for package type, size, resource, lot number, and procedure.

Education and Experience:

Experience:
High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) AND 2-5 years of operational/process technology experience

OR

Education:
2 year Associates in Process Technology Degree or 4 year Bachelors Degree and 1 year plant experience
