We are looking for:
The Packager will require the job holder to do the following, with minimal or no direct supervision; take initiative on a regular basis; suggest and/or make improvements to quality, to the way the work is done, and to making Silica a good place to work; help build and maintain a positive work environment; continuously learn new things about the work, the products, the customers, etc.
This position also consists of three different assignments: the bagging system, the super-sack filling, and bulk loading.
We count on you for:
· Monitors operation of all equipment.
· Makes changes to system “parameters” (examples- fill rate, bag weights) as needed, to achieve high quality and productivity.
· Resolves problems or defects. Related troubleshooting can include running diagnostics via the programmable logic controller (PLC).
· Keeps accurate and legible production records as required.
· Keeps bag magazines filled.
· Performs minor preventive maintenance on equipment.
· Performs minor corrective maintenance on equipment, as needed.
· Recalibrates and resets scales, as needed.
· Consults operating procedures, manuals, and daily instructions, as needed.
· Contacts maintenances co-workers as needed to diagnose or repair equipment.
· Changeover/Shutdown of Automatic Bagging System (Bagging system assignment).
· Empties and purges product from bagging system.
· Makes necessary changes to system parameters for new bag sizes, new weights, new fill rates, etc.
· Performs minor mechanical work on equipment to change over to a different bag or product, or as part of shutdown procedures.
· Works with Maintenance co-workers as needed to carry out changeovers or shutdowns.
· Plans for shutdowns with team members in other areas of Silica Plant.
· Bulk Loading (Bulk loading assignment).

You will get:
· Competitive salary; salary range of $33.00 - $34.66/hr. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base hourly range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
