We are looking for:

·  Looking for a motivated self-starter that wants to join Solvay’s Supply Chain and be hands-on and contribute to operational problem solving; ready to contribute to the growing business of Soda Ash export. We count on you for:

·  Coordinate all export logistics operations of Soda Ash and Derivatives, in an efficient and cost effective manner and in compliance with Solvay’s Standard Operating Procedures.
·  Coordinate and support post charter and container booking export related transportation requirements with shipbrokers, ocean carriers, carriers, freight forwarders, and drayage companies.
·  Arrange all payments with suppliers, shippers and vendors
·  Proactively identify problems and swiftly implement the appropriate solution working with manager or team.
·  Log and follow up service issues with providers for bulk and containers in CRM.
·  Handle all container bookings in SAP-emails , communications with Freight Forwarder, terminal, procurement ,
·  Provide regular written status reports to management and clients. ETA vessel schedule (inform ETAs on both bulk and container)
·  Provide support to other Logistics Teams as needed and interact with other departments to respond to their needs.
·  Monitor the US Chartering general mailbox daily.
·  Coordinate pre and post shipment process & documentation including bills of lading and timely payment of ocean freight.
·  Update the Wed Export tactical meeting slides.
·  Trace shipment up to final destination and advice parties involved as needed.
·  Handle incoming inquiries/communications from customers/Front Office and logistics service providers as required, ensuring that issues are resolved both promptly and thoroughly.
·  Execute SAP transactions including but not limited to Sales Orders, Delivery, Shipment, goods issue, Shipment Costs, goods receipt, create / update vendors, purchase orders, shopping carts and other relevant transactions.
·  Create and update Electronic Export Information on ACE secure data portal of US CBP as and when required.
·  Check figures and documents for correct entry and mathematical accuracy for high level of data quality.
·  Collect COA and quality data from the plant on product shipped for export and communicate with stakeholders.
·  Prepare, compile, collate, and distribute completed export documentation as requested by the customers/Front Office. (COAs, Certificates of Origin, etc.)
·  Either create case for customer complaints or input information for the investigation in CRM, gather and upload supporting documentation to the case.
·  Be available for overtime when the need arises by responding to Vessel related issues, including but not limited to billing and processing transactions in system before and after scheduled hours of work, including weekends. Usually during month end process.

·  Growth and learning opportunities in export and domestic roles within the Global Business Unit (GBU).

You will bring:

·  Minimum of 2 years of experience in Supply Chain or Logistics, preferably in maritime bulk or container logistics.
·  Working knowledge of: on export operations of dry bulk commodities, both bulk and containerized, charter parties & Laytime computation
·  Bachelor Degree required. B.S in Logistics, Maritime, or Supply Chain (preferred)
·  Exposure or working knowledge of G Suite (Google Apps) including Gmail, Calendar, and Google+ for communication; Drive for storage; Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, and Sites for collaboration
·  Working knowledge or proficiency in SAP and MS office applications with focus on Excel, Word, Access & Power Point
·  Ability to work in, and adapt quickly to changes and uncertainties
·  Excellent customer service skills and work ethic; ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
·  Occasional on-call responsibility for after-hours, weekends and night and emergency support

You will get:

·  The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $80,000 to $95,000. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.

Additional information:

·  This is a Houston based position.
·  Currently we are in hybrid mode, with majority of the time working from home. We usually meet one to twice a week in the office located downtown Houston. This means that training will also be done mainly remotely. Candidate should be comfortable working in a remote atmosphere with some guidance.
·  Travel requirements are few and mainly local. Candidate maybe asked to visit terminal in Galveston or attend local Maritime related conferences.
