Job Overview and Responsibilities:

The position holder Develops, leads and owns the demand planning process and systems. The key deliverable is a demand and sales forecast over various time horizons from several months to several years that is shaped and finalized through a collaborative and consensus-driven process that optimizes the balance between market opportunity and supply network capability.  Interacts with key stakeholders in Supply Chain Planning and Commercial. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Define Demand Planning process with key stakeholders and lead execution. 
Ensures the Demand Planning process is aligned with the Sales and Operations Planning process. 
Establish KPI’s as well as associated accountability and feedback mechanisms for the process. 
Develop and report sales projections. 
Manage Demand Planning System. Includes but is not limited to – adding new users, training, creating user views, troubleshooting problems and answering questions, executing system upgrades. 
Mines data for patterns. Looks for and deploys predictive analytic techniques such as statistical forecasting. 
Performs what-if and scenario analysis such as assessing the impact of price increases or product phase out/in.

Education and Experience:

Education & Qualification: 
BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Chemical or Industrial Engineering preferred. APICS CPIM certification preferred.

Experiences/abilities:
3+ years experience with supply chain forecasting and planning processes and tools in a manufacturing environment- 
Experience in a global role with exposure to multiple cultures, working environment.
Experience with linear programming optimization techniques. 
Mastery of statistical techniques and data analysis concepts with ability to apply in a manufacturing / supply chain setting. 
Ability to work with autonomously and with cross-functional team 
Builds strong relationships based on trust and confidence. 

Skills:

Advanced problem solving, analytical and conceptual thinking skills. 
Strong planning and organizing skills. 
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong computer skills; Microsoft Office -Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Word etc as well as the ability to extract and relate data from multiple sources. 
Familiarity with SAP and / or other Supply Chain Planning Systems. 
Familiarity with Qlkview
