Solvay is a market leader in hydrogen peroxide, both in market share and technology. Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is used mainly by the paper industry to bleach pulp. Its properties are also of interest to many markets, such as chemicals, food, textiles, and the environment.

Job Overview and Responsibilities

The Account Manager is responsible for developing and implementing sales plans for direct accounts and channel partners within the defined territory. 

·  Grow relationships at all active accounts while expanding business by developing and nurturing relationships at new accounts. 
·  Deliver favorable financial results with respect to revenue, volume and contribution margin goals.
·  Perform all stages of the sales cycle with a focus of performing needs assessment, identify customer pain and final negotiations.
·  Leverage Salesforce CRM tool with contributions to visit reports, opportunity pipeline, contracts and dashboards.
·  Find and develop new business in key markets while supporting the development of new products, applications and technologies addressing customer, channel partners or market needs.
·  Collaborate across functions ensuring increasing customer loyalty and retention.
·  Communicate internally customer insights, market intelligence and competitive landscape.
·  Engage customers in discussions to accurately forecast material needs and timely accounts receivables.
·  Support business development activities to support product expansion into new and existing markets.
·  Provide regular updates and presentation to Solvay business partners and leadership team.
·  Ensure highest standards are achieved and upheld regarding health, safety and environment.

Education and Experience

·  Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Sales & Marketing or any related field
·  A minimum of 3 years of commercial experience; marketing, solution-selling  in any of the following industries: semiconductor, water treatment, bleaching or disinfectant application is highly preferred 
·  Must have the ability to travel up to 50% (domestically)
