Responsibilities
To lead cross functional project teams to deliver key projects across the Leicester Manufacturing site.
Specific areas of focus:
· Manage individual projects against committed timelines within business case (look for opportunities to accelerate).
· Ensure equipment is signed off in accordance with standard process (ATO / ATC).
· In collaboration with TQE develop robust Factory Acceptance Test protocol.
· Development of training materials (MPE responsible) and owning the execution plan.
· Collaborating with supply planning on phased execution plan / Go/NoGo stage gates.
· Lead Vertical Start Up process for equipment installs (steps 2-4) ensuring all key parties deliver against commitments and validated through periodic reviews.
· Ensure internal/external communications are effective.
· Represent project execution within SteerCo forum with timely escalation.
· Ensure productivity is accurately tracked through Power Steering.
· Ensure integration of systems and process’s through use of MOC.
Liaising with multiple key business functions and stakeholders of all levels to deliver transformational project change activity locally. Primary responsibility will fall within the Plan, Execute, Monitor & Close phases.
· Leadership and management of multifunctional team, from Plan to Close phases, including capex approval, commissioning, execution and integration - prove concept, and capability. Deliver goal statements of CAPEX. Ensuring capacity uplift and Delivery of Productivity.
· Key communicator, provide inputs/outputs in ensuring the delivery of agenda, initiate and lead Steering meeting with both site teams and external functional decision makers.
· Lead team to deliver business case and execution of capital change.
· Broad understanding of Manufacturing systems and process’s QFS, H&S, Operations Technical and PepsiCo Project Management Methodology(R).
Qualifications
· Project management skills essential.
· Ability to deliver through an annual planning cycle (Hoshin planning), A3 working, and daily and weekly management processes such as QCDM and weekly departmental performance reviews.
· Considerable operations experience across multiple manufacturing technologies, systems and processes desirable.
· Knowledge of inventory control and raw materials handling/flow within a facility - desirable.
· Strong presentation and communication skills. The ability to liaise confidently and assertively with all levels within the company essential.
· Able to function effectively with multi-disciplinary teams that are geographically separated.
