We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Field Sales Team as a Territory Manager in Palmerston North!

 

Job Purpose

 

In this role you will drive sales category growth and profitability by executing banner promotional plans and shopper activations focusing on growing PepsiCo brands. You will have the ability to use scan data to identify in-store execution opportunities such as distribution, shelf space and display execution. Building and maintaining a great relationship with the customers is key to success in ensuring compliance as well as driving extra discretionary opportunities. Whilst always promoting, developing and improving the Health and Safety culture.

 

Key Responsibilities:

· 
Grow Sales in the Palmerston North region. 

· 
Plan to achieve weekly, monthly and quarterly sales targets by maximising current customer opportunities, upcoming promotions, trading terms agreements, and new product activations.

· 
Sell in-store activity to appropriately support Promotional Plans and influence the order to ensure effective and efficient stock management at store level.

· 
Identify gaps and opportunities and present through store reviews in conjunction with your Sales Supervisor to key store decision makers using appropriate store data and category facts.

· 
Execute all compliance with customers and focus on driving extra discretionary activity to drive further sales.

About you:

·  You will have the ability to use scan data to identify in-store execution opportunities such as distribution, shelf space and display execution.
·  You will be able to understand, interpret and use category data in all aspects of customer interaction.
·  You will be able to have a natural selling conversation with the customer that results in them taking action.
·  You will be able to plan for and anticipate customer objections and resolve using negotiation techniques in the sales presentation.
·  You will be able to use retail maths within a selling situation or conversation with retailer.
·  You will be able to effectively prioritise workload and manage your time to meet business expectations and deadlines.
·  You will be able to work as part of a team to achieve individual and team goals.
·  You will be able generate and share ideas with the team in a positive and constructive way.
·  You will be able to work autonomously with minimal supervision and be self-driven to succeed.
·  Basic Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI etc)

 

Key Challenges:

·  Managing customer disappointment such as out of stock, short delivery’s, competitor activity etc but still maintain a strong relationship.
·  Achieving sales targets in a fast moving and competitive environment.
·  Turning a “No” into a “Yes” with customers.
·  Time management and planning effectivity when things can move and change frequently.
