Job description
Overview
Partnership with shift floor labor supervisor in ensuring presence of labor on lines, availability of material on lines. Provide leadership and line management to the team, coordinating their workloads, providing support to ensure that the team delivers, monitoring any issues, and ensuring production targets. Develop the team by focusing on shift performance and support requirements to achieve high standards, whilst fostering a culture of working safely.
Responsibilities
Plant Production Operations:
• Availability of material on production lines as per production plan
• Ensure availability of adequate labor including packers/helpers and Tapers on lines as per agreed
demand
• Effective utilization of labor hours to maximize product yields and minimize waste and breakage
• Ensure conformance to daily production target and Compliance to DLS & MPS score.
• Monitor inventory levels against agreed target levels of operating supplies.
• Issuance of duty roasters of packers /helpers (90)
• Looking after the operation of Commercial grade starch unit operations and Waste Room
Operations.
• Maintain all housekeeping, quality, and safety standards.
• Second in command of (FLM) and integral part of Emergency Response Team (ERT) in emergency
management
• Overseeing entire operations when the Front-Line manager is on leaves.
Engagement:
• Acts as a credible advocate for PepsiCo Behaviors & new Ways of Working
• Leads action planning for OHS for the frontline associates mainly Level A (90+ population)
• Driving engagement at the frontline by leading the action item agreed in the engagement calendar
of the site.
IR/ER:
• Work closely with Front line Manager to maintain industrial peace during shift operations.
Qualifications
Knowledge/Skill:
Bachelor of Engineering / Food Technologist
Experience:
Preferably 2-3 years in similar capacity / operating organization with ER/IR exposure.
