PepsiCo is looking for a Shift Performance Co-ordinator to join our busy manufacturing site in Leicester.
Leicester is the heart of PepsiCo UK. Our factories there produce millions of packets of great tasting Walkers crisps every day. It’s already a great plant but our ambition is to make it even greater. We not only want to be the largest crisp factory in the world, we want to be the best.
In this role you’ll be responsible for optimising the performance and service delivery for the shift, ensuring all team members are focused on zone performance and minimising losses and waste.
What you’ll be doing:
· Co-ordinates the 4 hourly Quality, Cost Delivery and Morale (QCDM) meetings ensuring Root Cause Analysis is applied as appropriate and key actions are escalated in a timely manner.
· Is accountable for ensuring all feedback regarding escalation is shared within the relevant zone.
· Holds Zone Owners accountable for ensuring actions that effect performance are closed out.
· Escalates any service, performance or behavioural concerns on shift to Shift Ops Manager.
· Accountable for delivery of the key performance metrics of the balanced score card (e.g. TE, Waste, Volume Fill, PSA).
· Will be required to build strong links into scheduling and responsible for the execution of an optimised schedule.
· Cover for colleagues’ absence as and when necessary.
· Carries out investigations on shift regarding performance/people matters when appropriate.
· Will conduct low level disciplinary meetings when applicable.
· Will work closely with the other functional coordinators to ensure any downtime is delivered to the right standard and the right time to maximise service delivery.
· Responsible for safety on shift.
Qualifications/Requirements
What you’ll need:
· Experience in a manufacturing environment
· Good analytical skills
· Understanding of Lean processes, in particular SIC/QCDM and RCA
· Strong Team worker and contributor
· Flexible, ‘can do,’ attitude to role and duties
· Results driven and understands the link between action & results
· A good communicator with individuals at all levels
· Strong ability to influence others without having direct line accountability for them
· Good computer skills This role comes with a range of flexible benefits, and a starting salary of £38000 (inclusive of shift allowance). You’ll be working a continental shift (12 hour shifts, rotating days and nights).
