PepsiCo Foods Canada has an opening in the Cambridge, Ontario Frito Lay plant for a Sanitation Team Supervisor.
Description
This role will serve as a frontline supervisor providing team leadership and Sanitation functional expertise:
· Manage a team of sanitarians on the off-shift
· Train, supervise, and ensure the safety of a team of sanitation workers
· Coordinate with other departments to schedule cleaning activities
· Comply with QAS requirements and undergo annual audits
· Maintain the master sanitation schedule
· Lead daily performance meetings
· Manages sanitation windows to ensure lines are cleaned and does not impact production start up times
· Conducts performance coaching, provides individual feedback, and issues corrective action
· Makes daily decisions impacting the business
· Handles all team performance and personnel issues
· Manages time and payroll systems
Qualifications
Base Requirements, Knowledge & Skills
· High School Diploma required
· Associates degree or equivalent background preferred (this may set hi-potential candidates up to pursue Bachelor’s degrees and position themselves for L06 and above roles)
· Experience working in manufacturing and sanitation fields
· Strong knowledge of sanitation practices and procedures
· Experienced and possesses a passion for food safety, working with the operations team on RCA on food safety events
· 3+ years’ leadership experience in supervising front line employees, preferably within a unionized environment
· Good verbal and written communication skills
· Experienced in coaching, monitoring, and correcting employee performance
· Strong ability to organize, plan and prioritize work within the sanitation department
· Knowledge of general regulatory & safety processes and procedures
· Mechanical and technical aptitude
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
