Job description
Responsibilities
· Partner with BU RM, Commercial and Insights colleagues to propose and formulize Pack Price &Pricing Research projects against business objectives, timelines and budget
· Support Market to shape Pack Price & Pricing projects from research brief, detail SKU inputs to scenario planning to ensure methodologies and analytics are optimized
· Develop, analyze and interpret research findings, to ensure key insights and Pack Price & Pricing recommendation is centered around shopper behavior and debriefed to all key stakeholders.
· Provides output of statistical outputs to business stakeholders in simple, non-technical language.
· Lead the Pricing model accuracy validation and Pack Price Research results tracking. Highlighting actual performance vs prediction, identify key areas for continuous model enhancement.
· Takes responsibilities that are more non-standard in nature based on the team’s need and delivers them
· Keep abreast of new and current statistical and market research techniques.
· Develop relationships with external research vendors and interact with as needed.
· Provide training, documentation and other assistance to PepsiCo RM associates to support and expand the use of market research and modeling tools.
· KPI: Deliver clear and quantifiable results in total business volume and price/mix growth (%) targets; Research Projects completed successfully
Qualifications
· Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods
· Intensive client side or agency analytical and quantitative modelling
· Hands-on experience managing at least two full life-cycle implementations of sugar tax pricing with strong expertise in PepsiCo P3+ methodology
· Strong knowledge in research techniques
· Mastery of major statistical processes and tests (ANOVA, Multivariate Regression, Clustering methods for segmentation, Factor analysis, Time series analysis)
· Pricing analytics (Price/Mix, Discrete choice, Conjoint studies)
· Risk and probability analysis (e.g. Monte Carlo, non-linear programming)
· Structural equation modelling (e.g. path modelling, confirmatory factor analysis, hybrid models)
· Financial modelling; applying financial data to consumer research findings and output
· An outstanding strategic thinker with the ability to see the big picture and pay attention to detail
· Able to successfully manage multiple projects under constraints such as limited timelines or sub optimal data
· A strong team player, with the ability to collaborate (internal PepsiCo, external Bottler) and advise at all levels
