Overview
Location : Mississauga, ON
Compensation:
· $44.05 per hour with full-time hours and overtime opportunities
· $10, 000 Signing Bonus
· Health and Dental Benefits, Pension and Match RSP (After probation)
Available Shifts :
· Shift 1: Mon-Fri 6:00AM - 2:00PM
· Shift 2: Fri-Sun 6:00AM - 6:00PM
Shift Premium :
· $0.65/hr if shift start time is between 1:00PM and 9:59PM
· $0.80/hr if shift start time is between 10:00PM and 3 :59 AM
· Saturday Shift Premium - $2.00/hr
· Sunday Shift Premium - $2.25/hr
Responsibilities
· Supervision, maintenance and safe and efficient operation of ammonia, steam, Cogen, and air compressed systems and related equipment in compliance with TSSA regulations and the Operating Engineers act.
· Completion of corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance repairs and inspections for assigned equipment.
· Support for maintenance in various areas including CO2 and Nitrogen systems, Water Treatment, Syrup Room, and others as assigned by Chief Engineer.
· Manage through emergency breakdowns by leveraging internal and external resources.
· Support in root cause analysis and continuous improvement groups and initiatives.
· Effective communication for shift crossovers, work order feedback, department meetings, and activity coordination between other shift members.
· Work collaboratively with skill trades, operators, and plant stakeholders to reduce downtime, safety, and quality risks.
· Above average troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve issues in a high automation and fast paced environment.
· Execute daily assigned work.
Qualifications
· Valid 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright Red Seal license.
· Class B Refrigeration Operator and Compressor Operator licenses (Certified 3rd Class Engineer, or certified 4th Class Engineer currently pursuing 3rd Class certification will also be considered)
· Knowledge and experience of operational process / packaging equipment in the Food and Beverage industry is an asset.
· Motivation, positive attitude, high energy, and initiative, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Drive for improvement.
· Knowledge and experience using computerized maintenance management systems for submitting work requests, closing work orders, logging hours and logging spare parts usage
· This position requires to work in group and independently, lifting (Up to 50 Lbs), work at heights, and forklift operation
· Ability to work shift work
