The Opportunity
This contributor serves as the Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) reviewer and approver for the ingredients and semifinished goods specifications for the Innovation, Productivity and Brand Steward projects delivered by R&D in Mexico & Caribbean OUs. This contributor also supports the FSQA approval for the New Re-Packers suppliers for Mexico
Your Impact
As R&D QA Analyst - Temporary, your functions would consist of …
· Serve as the point of contact with the Specification Management team on Food Safety discussions during the alignment process.
· Review Food Safety and Quality Assurance parameters on specifications and ensure they comply with PEP requirements in SAP.
· Review in the supplier’s questionnaire the Food Safety related information and communicate with the Specification Management team to address any outstanding questions.
· Ensure all requests are processed, documented, and delivered within a defined project timeline.
· Maintain and update existing specs to ensure compliance with the Food Safety and Quality Assurance Standards.
· Maintain and foster relationships with in-market R&D spec teams, other spec teams, Re-Packers team and external suppliers.
· Serve as the FSQA point of contact with the Re-Packers team in the process of new Re-Packer approval.
· Conduct the Facility Assessment for new Re-Packers and manage the FSQA approval process and its documentation.
· Identify potential areas for process improvements to make recommendations to R&D Leadership for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Who Are We Looking For?
· Bachelor’s degree in food science, food chemistry, microbiology or equivalent relevant experience required.
· Advanced understanding of Quality Assurance and Food Safety Systems.
· Experience as Auditor is desired.
· Knowledge of Food Microbiology concepts and Microbiological methods.
· Fluent in English and Spanish.
· Ability to rapidly learn computer applications/programs & navigate systems.
· Good communication skills – oral and written.
· Ability to build relationships and work closely with both internal and external partners.
· Ability to manage time effectively across multiple priorities and projects requiring a high degree of organizational and communication skills to ensure requests are delivered in a timely manner.
· Self-motivated & demonstrated ability to take initiative on projects.
