Qualifications/Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
· Responsible for on shift safety
· Ensures timely execution, investigations (RCA, CAPA) and resolution of holds and near miss follow up
· Recommend decisions on holds based on the risk assessment
· Core governance on general standards such as BRC/AIB to drive GMP improvements
· Deputy for absence covered through shift team members or peer group
· Participates on in shift talent reviews
· Escalates any significant issues or concerns to Shift Operations Manager
· Acts as the guardian for all quality & food safety processes on shift and is responsible for the execution of these processes to the required standard E.g. Allergen clean verification and sign offs, sanitation/hygiene standards, right first time, pocket checks, etc.
· Provide expertise on shift to drive improved accountability/closure on audit actions (AIB/BRC) and standards
· Shift co-ordinator to lead food safety holds, investigations, risk assessments, root cause and closure
· Review specific trends on shifts and trigger A3 with support of Quality and other cross functional teams
· Support for SOMs & PC’s to chase down actions for Quality holds, ensuring completion within timescales
· Drive QCDM Daily meetings as Quality representative – Sharing data, concerns, holds/incidents, open actions etc.
· Identify & completion of Quality/food safety training, to ensure audit compliance/ correct skill set for shift
· Provide on-going coaching and support on shift
· Review and ensure Cleaning Standardisation across shifts
· Attend Quality Walls to ensure product meets the specification
· Go-person on shift for all quality and food safety queries, concerns and challenges. LEAN and Problem Solving
· Support shift team with problem solving and decision making through leading problem solving groups, A3 problem solving tools, kaizen events.
· Use the DMAIC process to improve Quality metrics Training and Coaching of front line staff:
· In new and existing quality and food safety systems (validation and refresher training)
· Understanding of QMS, BRC, QCDM and the implementation thereof
· The Holds process including investigations, RCA and closure
· Understand behaviours and support behavioural change at point of value via coaching and GEMBAs Factory Support and Driving Quality Agenda
· Providing support and guidance for hold procedure, investigations and preventative focus.
· Provide support and guidance for quality & food safety issues
· Support site must win battles by leading work streams related to Quality metrics such as CPM and Right first time.
