Overview
Thorough knowledge of the standard practices, tools and terminology of the Mechanical trade; thorough knowledge of Mechanical theory; thorough knowledge of the safety hazards of the work and of the necessary safety precautions; ability to make repairs to complicated Mechanical wiring, fixtures and equipment; ability to plan and supervise the work of subordinates; ability to perform manual work over extended periods of time; skill in the use of Mechanical maintenance and repair equipment; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates.
Responsibilities
· Projects Mechanical Supervisor will generally be responsible for all mechanical activities including Structure, Piping, Equipment Installation, hot works, QA/QC of all mechanical jobs:-
· Collecting all the information from relevant Stakeholders regarding the upcoming projects along with project manager.
· Preparing initial conceptual design of the project along with Projects draftsman.
· Collecting feedback from all relevant stakeholders on specific project.
· Finalizing the layout and sharing it with OEMs or consultants.
· Prepare the Tender documents for getting proposals after getting the final design from OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) or Consultants.
· Contractor’s evaluation along with GP team.
· Making project plans according to asked timeline.
· Managing mobilization of the contractor’s teams.
· Aligning all relevant stakeholders for the execution of the projects.
· Finalizing all the requirements of PepsiCo EHS requirements along with contractors and PepsiCo EHS teams.
· On site marking and lay outing at works execution sites.
· Co-ordination between contractors and end users.
· Receipt and inspection of different project materials at gate for preparing IGP.
· Monitoring of project executions at plant.
· Managing project materials in project store.
· Helping out in preparing GRN against project materials and services.
· Checking the quality control of projects at the time of project execution
· Checking and verification of contractors invoices before payment processing.
· Issuing work permits for mechanical projects.
· Monitoring and checking of food safety and HSE controls at work sites.
· Preparation of BOQ of different projects. Rectification of issues encountered during execution of projects at the plant .Checking of test reports of mechanical works at the time of project execution like leakages, pressures etc.
· Helping out the OEMs during commissioning of the projects.
· Arranging the training sessions for end users to get better understanding about newly installed machines.
· Reviewing and understanding the scope of work.
· Preparing the BOM (Bill of Material) for Mechanical scope of work in compliance with PepsiCo’s Engineering Specifications and best practices
· Preparing BOQs (Bill of quantities) in compliance with the PepsiCo’s Engineering Specifications and best practices
· Prepare RFQs, MOCs and PRAs for Procurement department
· Supervise the Execution of all Mechanical associated activities complying with the EHS requirements and making sure all execution work is in-line with the safety standards of Pepsico.
· Estimate the required Manpower, materials, tools and equipment requirements for any Mechanical scope of work
· Give full compliance to approved project schedule.
· Plan and schedule projects, estimate time and materials, supervise subordinates, maintain records and files and prepare reports.
· Plan and supervise the work of welders/riggers/fabricators/fitters.
· Maintain knowledge and record of Mechanical materials in projects store/warehouse.
· Advise Project engineer and Project Manager concerned with installation, modification and repair of Mechanical assignments.
Qualifications
Min Qualification: Diploma Associate Mechanical Engineer (DAE-Mechanical)
Preferred Qualification: B-Tech Mechanical, SAP and Auto CAD
