Functional Description:

The PepsiCo Beverages North America (PBNA) Routing Intelligence Center is a new state of the art logistics center. The Routing Intelligence Center organization provides a demanding, fast-paced opportunity in a competitive industry, where growth equals opportunity and fun accompanies the challenge. Learning opportunities are provided through various opportunities to work with departments such as Warehouse Operations, Sales Operations, and Lean Six Sigma. What you can expect:

Routing Specialists are responsible for creating delivery routing solutions for assigned Pepsi Beverage distribution centers while learning all aspects of our delivery routing process. Accountabilities include flawless execution of the delivery routing process while ensuring that cost and productivity objectives are achieved.

Routing Specialists communicate primarily with location level field partners to understand resources and positively affect delivery operations via quality routing solutions. Routing specialists also work closely with routing managers to identify efficiency opportunities for their locations while developing advanced analytical skills required for future role success.

In this role, you will be called upon to:

·  Use your analytical thinking skills through qualitative and quantitative analysis. You don’t have to be a math major, but a strong drive to fix problems and design solutions is key to an individual’s success at PepsiCo!
·  Perform at a fast pace, with self-motivation, and strong initiative
Key Responsibilities:

·  Dispatch daily routing using specialized routing software (Pepsi Dispatch, Road Net, Asset Management Tool, and Bay Mapping applications)
·  Communicate daily with locations to coordinate resources, drivers and trucks, and specific customer delivery needs and routing solution effectiveness
·  Solve daily routing solution by FLEX routing (fewest trucks and drivers) based on daily workload, tight geographical areas, proper sequencing, balanced workload, and customer/driver continuity
·  Ensure routing solution complies with DOT hour and weight regulations
·  Ensure routing solution achieves location productivity targets for hours, stops, and cases
·  Meet Routing Intelligence Center (RIC) productivity targets
·  Handle customer and Internal employee interactions in a professional manner Based in the Routing Intelligence Center in Plano, TX

Qualifications/Requirements

What we’re looking for:

·  Currently pursuing a degree in: Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Distribution (other related majors will be considered)
·  Involvement in at least one extracurricular activity
·  Strong analytical and problem solving skills
·  Ability to adapt to changes in timelines and sequences
·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·  Strong influence and negotiation skills
Minimum Qualifications - Each candidate is expected to:

·  Be completing their final year of undergraduate studies
·  Hold a Bachelor’s degree prior to the intended full time start date
·  This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States.
