Location: Calgary, AB

Type: Permanent, Full time

Pay: $43/hr

Premium: $240 Boot Voucher

Schedule: 4X10’s or 5X8’s

Shift Premium: $1.65/hour for all hours worked between 5:00pm-6:00am

PepsiCo Beverages Canada Calgary Facility, is a manufacturing environment that maintains a clean and orderly workspace. The facility is recruiting for a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to help support our Production team.

Responsibilities

·  Maintaining equipment in a satisfactory condition for safe operation
·  Executing preventative maintenance schedules
·  Performing equipment repairs as needed
·  Installing new equipment and systems
·  Improving the operation efficiency of production equipment and central services
·  Diagnosing/Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and optimizing running settings
·  Interacting daily with computerized maintenance and parts programs
·  Working with other departments on process improvement activities
·  Recommending changes and/or improvements to plant equipment/facilities/procedures
·  Working with outside contractors and other trades
·  Operating and changing over equipment as required
·  Performing all assigned duties in a safe and productive manner
·  Keeping work area orderly and clean
·  Other tasks as directed by Maintenance lead hands and/or Supervisors
·  Working collaboratively with team members
Qualifications

·  Must exhibit a safety-first mindset
·  Must hold a valid Red Seal Industrial Mechanic / Millwright license with a certificate of Qualification
·  Experience in the beverage/food/packaged goods industry preferred
·  Must be skilled in use of machine shop equipment (lathe, mill, grinder, etc.)
·  Must be able to lift/carry 50-85 lbs
·  Must be able to push/pull up to 50 lbs
·  Must be able to perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, squatting, climbing, reaching and grasping
·  Must be able to work on computers and iPads
·  OT is readily available
·  Flexibility required regarding shifts; notice provided if a shift change is necessary
·  Must be able to work night shifts or weekend shifts as required
