Overview
The Role: J ourneyman Service Technician
Job Type: Full - Time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hrs/ week and 8hrs on call
Shift: Day shift
Schedule: Mon - Fri
Pay Rate: $31.44/ hr
Sign on Bonus :$ 3 000
Responsibilities
• Member of a dynamic, fast-paced service team
• Perform service repairs and preventative maintenance in trade on soft drink dispensing equipment (fountain, coolers, vendors, FCB’s, Icemakers, etc.)
• Delivery and delivery assistance of cooler and vendor equipment in the trade.
• Installation and installation assistance of fountain equipment in the trade.
• Responsible for enhancing and maintaining customer relations through efficient, professional customer service and improving service department teams targeted measures.
• Required to work some Evening and Weekend shifts on a rotating basis.
• Work shifts may be subject to change
Qualifications
• Demonstrated positive team attitude as well as ability to work independently, and proven attendance record
• Preference will be given to those with experience working with soft drink dispensing equipment (fountain, coolers, vendors, FCB’s, Icemakers, etc.) and or certification in Small Appliance Repair and/or Refrigeration.
• Previous service experience an asset
• Mechanical/technical ability
• Desire and ability to progress through Service Technician levels.
• Good communication skills
• Required to pass Pepsi Pro Modules during probationary time frame. (3 months)
• Valid Class 5 Operator’s license required, with a clean abstract.
• Valid Class 1 Operator’s license an asset
• Aptitude tests will be administered. Successful candidate must achieve weighted average grade of 75% or higher to pass.
Major Physical Demands:
• Physically capable of moving large coolers and vending machines (up to 800 pounds) with the aid of a helper and PES equipment moving devices.
