Overview
The purpose of the role is to support create availability of the total plant (buildings, machinery and utilities) by leading a preventative maintenance team to execute the lean preventative maintenance strategy strategy towards safe delivery.
Responsibilities
Managing the team
- Managing day to day business in the preventive maintenance department, including support to Ops
- Responsible for team people processes and procedures (talent development , employee relations and managing absenteeism)
Maintenance plan
- Setting up an overall maintenance plan
- Planning of all preventive maintenance, short-, medium- and longterm in resources, skills and spare parts
- Spare parts management
- Alignment with “work preparation”, operations and ops-planning
- Compliance to plan, especially related to legal-, internal and external requirements
- Follow up and full documentation of the entire workorder process
- Managing contractors and service contracts
- CI initiatives on planning and execution - (Food) Safety related to contractors and work execution
- According to PeMM initiatives, lead the planning and preparation program, using strong planning and organisation skills to provide detailed maintenance plans (corrective, preventive and changeovers) to maximise plant performance reducing equipment downtime and ensuring schedule compliance
- Produce Work Order backlog analysis and make suggestions for effective management
- Produces regular maintenance plans for Maintenance teams, including review and development of planned maintenance tasks
- Produces overhaul maintenance, including review and development of planned maintenance tasks
- Provides to Maintenance Team detailed compliance, reports including analysis of cost and performance
- Manage the performance and capabilities of direct Maintenance Technicians have to execute major part of planned maintenance activities.
Financial
- Allocation of resources to maximise technical availability at minimal expenditure
- Monthly Reporting on all relevant planning and execution KPI’s
- Control of site repair and maintenance costs (maintenance budget direct and indirect € 2,0 MM / year)
- Deliver input for the AOP and SBP on maintenance and maintenance -capex - Maintenance budget: €4,0 MM (50/50 internal labour and (in)direct costs)
- Attends Daily and Weekly Operations Meetings to ensure all issues are captured and that corrective actions are in place
- Use SAP system to produce reports focused on reducing equipment downtime, minimising work order backlog and ensuring schedule compliance
- Promote Work Orders analysis and make suggestions for effective management
- Hold regular review to ensure all Inventory Management & Work Orders transactions are captured and completed
- Provide essential support to the Maintenance Manager in the formulation of the AOP
SAFETY: Drive plant safety injuries to a minimum by:
- Support the maintenance team safety culture to zero risk taking
- Support the team to provide weekly near misses
- Support the team to execute daily STOP observations
- Support team Lock out Tag out execution
- Support team permits execution and auditation to a green kpi score
- Support team execution of the HSE duty holding ship to 100%
Improve plant corrective maintenance to a minimum unplanned downtime of process and packaging by:
- Facilitate lean in the daily team maintenance meeting to set daily safe delivery priorities and give corrective and RCA owners
- Drive lean in all team communications
- Support team information flow with and support to operations
Improve plant preventative maintenance to reduce planned downtime and corrective maintenance:
- Support the team effort at information flow to prepare daily QCDM in a minimum time window
- Plan the team to grow of the quantity and quality of the preventative mainteinance planning
- Plan the growth and training program of predictive maintenance program
- Improve the team knowledge by planning quantity and quality of the training program
- Plan the team to a high maintenance planning achievement
- Plan and supportthe team to uptimize the team technicians utalisation booked
Improve plant reliability to reduce unplanned downtime, to reduce maintenance budget and reduce technical stock inventory by:
- Facilitate team improvement of problem solving to root cause by act preventative at safe delivery priorities
- Plan team members for project management at maintenance and sustainability performance gaps
Qualifications
Key Skills/Experience Required:
- At least 2 yrs experience in a mainteinance or planner role in a Production Area
- People management experience - Good communications and interpersonal skills
- Good analytical skills - A good linguistic competence of the Dutch and English language
- A good competence of excel and SAP
