We currently have an exciting opportunity to join Quaker Oats as an Oat Miller at our Forrestfield factory!
Responsibilities
Position Details:
· Location: Forrestfield
· 12-hour Shifts – 2 Mornings, 2 Evenings, 4 off.
· Position: Permeant full time
· Selection Process Phone Conversation - Interview - Online Testing - Background and Pre-Employment Medical Checks - Decision
In this role you will:
· Perform daily milling operations, ensuring Oat quality meets Milling requirements by ensuring silo management blending to its optimum to achieve optimum milling efficiency.
· Operation and monitoring of Scada control system for OCP, Hulling, Kilning and cutting.
· Preventative maintenance tasks including temporary repairs. Fault reporting.
· HACCP – Controls and checks.
· Process checks to ensure efficiency and quality.
· Liaise with Rolling, Packing, Quality and maintenance.
· Out of normal working hours you will be senior person on site – responsible for site security, and escalations where required.
· Providing cover for Weighbridge, Loading of by-products.
· Work with the production team to produce Quaker Oats
· Ensure production meets quality standards and product specification
· Ensure documentation is completed in full and in a legible manner
Qualifications
You will have:
· Previous experience in a mill environment or manufacturing environment (Desired)
· Demonstrated history of applying safe work practices
· Boiler Ticket
· Current First Aid
· Manual handling experience
· Good communication and problem-solving skills
· Understanding of GMP requirements and work standards
· Forklift operator certificate (or willingness to obtain)
