Job Description
The R&D LiSU Specification Writer (SW) is responsible for overall management of a supplier range and its associated MC-MS (material class) from a content point of view (by sending Qualification Questionnaire (QQ) and coordinate the associated activities) but also for the accessibility of the updated information (within the PQP IT documentation systems) in ESSA.
The goal of the role is to understand the PepsiCo Global Ingredient Standard and Supplier Standard, and become proficient in the PepsiCo Quality Program (PQP) and IT Applications associated.
You will conduct gap analysis of legacy specifications against PepsiCo Global Ingredient Standards. Drive gap closure with/through function team members. The associated activities include ingredient parameters and laboratory test methods alignments, as well as certificate of analysis alignments.
Responsibilities include :
· ensuring that the suppliers are fully trained to complete the QQ as outlined by current processes and future PepsiCo global standard & specification guidelines
· being an active R&D ambassador for the PepsiCo Global Standards within R&D and Supply Chain, by providing, where necessary support to the product developers and manufacturing sites.
· Strong relationships need to be maintained with Europe Regulatory Affairs, Food Safety, Quality Assurance (Quality Deployment) Categories and SQA teams, as well as continual engagement with the Global Process, Systems & Information team to ensure effective application of any global improvement directives to local information and/or IT systems.
· Working closely with the approval functions (PD, RA, FS, QD) in the development of complete, accurate, quality, regulatory and food safety content for the specifications and related documentation into existing R&D documentation systems.
· Driving discussions with internal R&D team members/SC-QC/ Procurement and suppliers in order to facilitate, advise & influence where necessary to ensure quality specification documentation processes are rolled out, according to the Global PQP Standards.
· Where required, develop and provide necessary training to internal R&D team members/SC/ but also suppliers
· Assist in the new PQP IT System implementation by conducting UAT (User acceptance training) but also by training users, supporting effective adoption of global standard guidelines.
· Liaise closely with peer members in the Global LiSU team in order to share best practices, help resolve challenges and identify opportunities to
Qualifications/Requirements
· High education; food technology or chemist, or similar; 2-3 years in food Industry, preferable Product Development, Quality Assurance / Control or Regulatory.
· Learning agility, self-motivation and desire for continuous self-improvement.
· Team player and works well with cross-functional, cross-regional and cross-cultural teams.
· Can work independently and has initiative for problem solving.
· Self-starter, self-motivating.
· Previous experience in handling relationship with suppliers is preferable.
· Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) proficient
· Effective communication skills, both verbal (i.e. presentation, conference calls) and written (i.e. reports, e-mails) in English.
