Lead Engineer 2 - Infrastructure Optimization and Automation

Overview

This person will play a key role in designing, implementing and maintaining automated infrastructure solutions using tools like Ansible. This person will be part of Capacity and Optimization team and will work closely with Infrastructure Operations team and MSPs to streamline process, enhance efficiency and ensure reliability and scalability of our infrastructure. This person will help with capacity planning and will identify the resource optimization opportunities and develop and implement the solutions to eliminate wastage in IT infrastructure to save the cost. This person will also be responsible to develop the new dashboards using PowerBI and maintain existing dashboards.

Responsibilities

·  Develop and Maintain automation playbooks and scripts using PowerShell and Ansible to automate Infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
·  Utilize strong knowledge of Microsoft Power Platforms like PowerBI, PowerApps, PowerAutomate to create data driven solutions and automate processes.
·  Write complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from various databases.
·  Utilize advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
·  Work with different API's to automate tasks and improve resource utilization.
·  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
Qualifications

·  3+ years of programming/scripting experience using PowerShell, Python etc.
·  2+ years of experience with Ansible
·  Powershell/Scripting
·  Advanced Microsoft Excel
·  PowerBI, PowerApps, PowerAutomate
·  Linux
·  Excellent communication skills
·  Project Management
·  Creative thinking skills with an emphasis on developing innovative solutions to solve complex problems that may not have one clear answer
·  Professional experience influencing internal and external stakeholders
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
