Overview
The LD&T dispatcher is responsible for executing the plan for the day’s loads and working solutions for the variables that are part of the transportation department. The dispatcher will award the next day’s work for the over the road drivers for the Dallas Service Center.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills are required as the dispatcher will have daily interactions through the phone or in-person with the drivers, sales team, peers, and warehouse. This is a fast-paced role that will require the ability to prioritize tasks, generate solutions, and a emphasis on written and verbal communication. This role will report directly to their shift’s team supervisor.
The main technological platforms used are Excel, SAP, DPS, PeopleNet, and ICS, though other platforms are used intermittently.
Shift:
· Tuesday-Saturday – 1500-0000 (Saturday - potential earlier start time to cover the business needs)
Responsibilities
· Publish the driver’s daily work board in the Dispatch Planning System website on-time
· Verbally communicate with drivers about load statuses, issues that arise, truck assignments, and other daily operational topics
· Update the sales team, warehouse, and in-market-operation team on load statuses through e-mail and during daily scheduled meetings
· Prepare paperwork for drivers
· Other duties assigned for the daily operation of the DSC Traffic Center
Compensation and Benefits
· The expected compensation range for this position is between $37,000 - $66,400 based on a full-time schedule.
· Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.
· Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
· GED or Highschool required
· SAP experience preferred
· Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
· Ability to make decisions that impact multiple business functions
· Strong influencing skills with peers and employees
· Adept at using MS Excel-based tools and reports
· Team-based approach to decision making
· Skilled facilitation and presentation skills
· Ability to balance multiple priorities
