Job description

Overview

Strong understanding of China IT ecosystem landscape and global standards and defines the technology strategy (global/local) for China that meets the business needs, legal regulations and optimizes the landscape costs/complexity/risks, governs the demand/influences leverage of common solutions where applicable and provide solution architecture services to ensure product quality.

 

Responsibilities

·  Evangelize global technology strategies and standards and drive adoption within China where applicable
·  Build a robust and resilient application portfolio for China to power the business with requisite capabilities and be compliant to local regulations
·  Develop current state , future state architecture based on business capability roadmaps
·  Shepard all proposals and projects  and ensure they leverage globally defined frameworks, standards, guidelines and patterns . Ensure appropriate governance process followed for any deviations and exceptions
·  Provide end to end solution architecture services to ensure solutions meet the desired business needs and are flexible, scalable, resilient and secure. This includes producing architecture deliverables leveraging globally defined architecture services framework. Key deliverables are: Conceptual, Logical and physical architectures holistically describing the target solution architecture 
·  Maintain networking and working relations with Global EA Domain owners and functional SMEs to ensure timely engagement, transparency and aligned decision making
·  Stay abreast of defined technology standards, guidelines and patterns and latest technology trends
·  Stay uptodate on changes in Cyber Security Law, Personal Data Protection Law and Cross Border Data Transfer Law and their impact on China Technology landscape
·  Build strong understanding of the China IT ecosystem and identify opportunities to enable business growth
Qualifications

Business Acumen

·  Strong knowledge of business processes and capabilities across IT domains.
·  Strong knowledge of China Technology eco system, Cyber Security Law, Personal Data Protection Law and Cross Border Data Transfer Law
·  Ability to comprehend business strategies and needs and translate them to technology strategies.

    Technical

·  Good understanding of China IT application landscape
·  Experience with solution design and delivery from a range of vendors as well as bespoke development
·  In depth knowledge of domain-specific platforms & how they integrate with the broader ecosystem
·  Very good knowledge of digital platforms (Data & Analytics, Integration, Intelligent automation & AI, Commerce, Emerging technologies) to enable delivery of end to end solution architecture
·  Ability to demonstrate a mindset for the Conceptual, Logical, Physical levels of architecture and apply them effectively.
·  Thorough understanding of the architecture guiding principles / modern architecture and leverage them to design forward-looking solutions.
·  Good understanding of various elements of security
