Overview

The IOT Solution Associate Manager role is part of the Enterprise Integration and Automation Platforms - Digital Platforms team within the PepsiCo CTO Organization at Plano, US.

 

IOT COE team's Internet of Things (IoT) Solution Associate Manager is a critical role that evaluates business challenges and translates them into technical solutions that can be built by delivery team. The role will have accountability for architecting and delivery work class IOT solution to our various business stakeholders across Manufacturing, Foodservice Equipment, Agriculture, and Consumer Devices.

 

The role will need to manage stakeholder expectations from business leaders to Sector CIO team to ensure delivery of IOT solution with customer focused approach.

 

The role demands business stakeholder management skills and strong technical understanding of Microsoft and Azure IoT service offerings which are constantly evolving.

Responsibilities

·  Engage with customers to identify opportunities and needs for IOT solutions in all domains of Make, Move and Sell
·  Understand the customer requirement and prepare solution architecture working along with EA architects and platform engineering team
·  Showcase technology concepts and solutions to gain support across a diverse set of stakeholders
·  Evaluates and Analyzes Customer Needs and socialize same with platform and other teams
·  Work with Platform Engineering, Product Owner and Architect to build best in a class solution
·  Working closely with Manager to deliver end to end IOT Solution
·  Responsible for creating awareness about IOT Platform with various sectors and businesses and customer training
·  Building and maintaining relationships with customers and periodically sending technical updates to business and CIOs
·  Responsible for onboarding new customer and solutions/usecase on IOT Platform

Qualifications

With strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to deal with ambiguity while juggling multiple priorities and projects at the same time 

·  Engineer in Computer Sciences or IT
·  8-10 yrs overall experience delivering project on cloud as well as edge for Industry4.0with min. 4 years of work experience in IoT and service-oriented architectures in Industry 4.0
·  5+ years .NET/C/Java development
·  Required Experience on Kubernetes on edge
·  Real time implementation of driver configuration and integration
·  Experience in working with IOT edge domain and specifically with Kubernetes on edge
·  Experience in device edge gateways, Industrial MCUs and their connectivity with Cloud services (IOT Platform)
·  Experience with NCITs, monitoring equipment, communication gateways e.g. Ability Edge Gateway, and supervision products (SCADA, CMMS, PLC, Historian)
·  Expertise in Cloud computing, with implementation experience in either of Azure (preferred), AWS or PTC Thing Worx or any other IoT cloud along with Network technologies protocols including MQTT, REST, AMQP, HTPS, WebSocket, Modbus, OAM-DM, OPC/UA, Zigbee, LoRa, BLE, NB-IoT
·  Implementation knowledge Edge HA. Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery
·  Payload conversion from OPC to Industry 4.0
·  Edge, and Cloud Technology competencies e.g. Docker, multi tenancy, REST API, Web-Protocols, HTML5, Demonstrated programming depth in Python, C# / Java, Kubernetes and Grafana
·  Knowledge of End-to-end security for IoT security spanning across edge layer security, application, transport, network, cloud and infrastructure security controls, data privacy and protection controls.
·  Knowledge and awareness on IoT gateways products, agents, sensors and devices.
·  Own and establish best practices in architecture, design and development, command over DevOps process and tools. Guide and Mentor development teams in driving best practices in engineering and software development.
·  Envision and develop end-to-to solution architecture for IoT based business solutions spanning devices, gateways, connectivity, cloud, apps, integration, analytics and security layers, addressing functional and non-functional aspects
·  Passionate about the Internet of Things, Cloud Technologies, Micro-services, DevOps technologies, AI/ML/Analytics
·  Experience working on Linux¬ based Operating Systems

Non-Technical skills

·  Proven track record of delivering big cloud native projects and specifically IOT Projects
·  Minimum 3 year of relevant experience in delivering IOT Solution at scale (CPG industry experience would be huge plus)
·  Proven experience organizing and directing multiple teams and departments
·  Excellent communicator in written and verbal form
·  Extremely versatile, dedicated to efficient productivity
·  Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives
·  Experience with data analysis
·  Experience with budget management
·  Consulting experience with a focus on operations management
·  Proven success in a project coordination role
·  Nimble business mind with a focus on developing creative solutions
·  Strong project reporting skills, with a focus on interdepartmental communication
·  Proven ability to develop strategies, translate them into initiatives and track successful delivery
