Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
· Maintaining and repairing fleet equipment and perform preventative maintenance
· Diagnosing vehicle failures and disassemble, repairing and reassembling parts as necessary
· Responding to road calls
· Completing all necessary documents, including vehicle records
· Maintaining cleanliness in areas of work
· Maintaining records of daily check list (pre-trip inspections)
· Performing all assigned duties in a safe and productive manner
· Following the direction of Fleet Supervisor/Manager
Qualifications
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or equivalent GED required
· Must be certified (310T) as a Truck and Coach Technician
· Certification in Internal Combustion Engine (ICE); (P - propane) is an asset
· Must have valid Driver's License in good standing
· Minimum of 2 years work experience required with preventative maintenance on trucks and industrial equipment; both propane and electrical powered
· Knowledge of hydraulic and air brake systems required
· Must be able to provide own tool set for the work
· Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Additional skills you may have (not required, these are assets)
· Experience with propane and electric forklifts, tractors, trucks, vans, pickups and cars
· Welding and electrical experience
Physical demands and working conditions:
· You can lift/carry and push/pull up to 75lbs
· You are comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment
· Must be able to perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting, reaching and grasping
· Must be able to work evenings, weekends and overtime as required
