Overview

The Inventory Control Specialist (FIG I) role will consist of researching and performing tasks to ensure the sites FIG accounting financials are reconciled according to PepsiCo Audit Guidelines, SAG/SOX control, and achieving financial plan for Finished Goods Inventory (FIG).  Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, Daily/weekly reconciliation of FIG related processes, sales management, inventory controls, and sales accounting.  Cross functional partnership and support with CSR’s, sales, manufacturing, and HQ is required.  Work week varies by location (e.g. 40 hrs.).  Overtime and weekends may be required.  Work times are subject to be variable based on related work.

Responsibilities

·  SAP to FIG Reconciliation: ICS data entries, hold reversal accounting, missing shipments credit/charges, warehouse technician accuracy, and Finished Goods receiver’s accuracy.
·  Daily batching reports and FIG/SAP report execution (WIVA, OS investigation report, inventory correction report, SAP2FIG report, Recon V1.5T, Shipment to SAP).
·  Transfer-In Adjustments: SAP shipments for completion, verify no system issues, line-item authorizations, customer document receipts.
·  Inventory write-offs/scrapping: Weekending inventory count is uploaded, all loads billed, all transactions complete, excessive amounts of products written off and diverted should be reviewed to ensure proper oversight. Provide weekly update on FIG financials.
·  Review Variances between Book and Physical Inventory: Review inventory O/S post the inventory upload to resolve O/S issues and transfer in adjustments from producing locations.
·  Work with Inventory specialists on Unload discrepancies, communication with other plants regarding stales, damages.
·  Review Credit and Debit Memos: Review adjustments to shipments to determine impact to inventory and need sheet as well as confirm accuracy of receipt by customer.
·  Review Warehouse Returns: Ensure documents are processed, items are returned timely, and identify locations in warehouse causing excess damage and stale opportunities.
·  Review Sample and Donation Orders: Ensure all shipments and transactions are received to the host.
·  Company store operations are managed within the set guidelines.

Skills:

·  Communication skills, both written and oral, role will require face to face collaboration with warehouse unit leaders, warehouse resources, technicians, distribution center leads, field and headquarters support teams, sales accounting help desks, bin RSR’s and DSL’s.
·  Self-motivated, detailed oriented with the ability to work in team and group settings with a focus on high quality and customer service.
·  Technical skills required for troubleshooting and determining the root cause of inventory gains or losses, pinpoint reconciliation and finished goods receipts errors.
·  S&D Documentation Retention Control and ownership of FIG filing systems; ability to maintain SAG/SOX Audit Controls.
·  System understanding of ICS, XPTR/XNET, FS2, SAP, financial overheads, experience with Microsoft Office suite of applications.
·  Collaborate across sectors, markets, and functions supporting PepsiCo Global Template (PGT) and FIG integration.

Compensation & Benefits:

•The expected compensation range for this position is between $50,000 - $53,000 based on a full-time schedule, but it is a overtime elegible role.
• Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.
• Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

·  High school graduate, accounting background or work experience with debits & credits: College level classes a plus.
·  CI or BPP in a leader or point role and have had an opportunity to influence others to change.
·  Recognize process gaps, develop solutions, and communicate to organization.
·  Investigative, intellectual curiosity, and ability to provide feedback to peers.
·  Organized, and disciplined approach to issue resolution.
