Frito-Lay is PepsiCo’s snack manufacturing, sales and distribution operating unit. They have the world’s largest portfolio of billion-dollar foods and are specifically responsible for the growth of some of America’s favorite snack foods, including Fritos®, Lay's®, Doritos®, Cheetos®, and Tostitos®.

Your Role:

Can you lead and influence a large multi-level team with the insight, innovation and impact to drive activities to achieve safety targets, Courage To Care culture and improve performance in the areas of safety?  If so, we would love to have you on our team!

The Accelerated EHS Designate Program role is a 12-18 month leadership training program designed to assimilate and develop the necessary skillset in preparation for an accelerated career path as a PepsiCo EHS Leader.  Through this program, you may be required to relocate to another location as openings become available for career progression.

Responsibilities

·  Responsibilities include ongoing implementation and maintenance of company-wide EHS programs and systems
·  Investigate EHS incidents and manage regulatory investigation/inspection
·  Organize and execute EHS audits
·  Support worker’s compensation claim management (Total Rewards) while ensuring the utilization of preferred medical providers and execution of Frito-Lay's Return-To-Work program
·  Ability to support Fleet/DOT programs and deliver strong defensive driving training initiatives
·  Execute within an EHS budget process
·  Ability to perform risk assessments and determine plausible corrective actions
·  Ability to lead risk reduction initiatives
·  Analyze data trends & performance to ensure that the right priorities are identified and acted upon
·  Identify issues, coach and lead field locations in development of a corrective action plan to address root basic causes and management system weak-spots using industry-recognized cause analysis techniques
·  Conduct periodic site visits and EHS activities such as training/auditing/assessing to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements and company EHS processes and policies.
·  Interface with federal, state and local government agencies (EPA, DOT, OSHA) as needed
·  Provide active and positive leadership in the effort to drive the cultural
Qualifications

 

·  Minimum BS in Occupational Health & Safety or related degree, (ASP/CSP is a plus)
·  Sales EHS:  Travel up to 50% (dependent on business needs and fluctuation)
·  Persuade, influence outside four walls, and make formal presentations
·  Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a results-driven, team-oriented environment
·  Maintain confidentiality

·  Demonstrate excellent organizational skills
·  Handle multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines
·  Ability to manage multiple locations
·  Ability to interface effectively with frontline personnel, outside contractors, and different functional groups within the business units

·  Strong influence management and communication skills, ability to gain organizational buy-in

·  Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications
·  Ability to lead a team-based approach to decision making
·  Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environment
