Overview
Team Leadership
· Mentor, and inspire a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
· Lead recruitment efforts to attract and onboard top engineering talent.
· Set clear performance expectations for team members, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback.
· Ability to work with multiple cross functional and technical teams to facilitate effective delivery of digital products
Responsibilities
Technical Leadership:
· Bring a strong technical background to the role, participating in architecture discussions, code reviews, and providing hands-on guidance when needed. Very strong in at least 1 of the below areas
· Deep understanding of automation technology like RPA, UI path, low code platforms like power platform
· Deep understanding of AI domain (like Conversational AI, Gen AI) and AI frameworks (like TensorFlow, PyTorch, computer vision) and cloud AI services like Azure open AI
· Deep understanding of micro service/API design/develop on cloud and integration patterns on cloud (preferably Azure)
· High system design skill – System integration Patterns on Cloud , design for scalability, availability and other cloud design best practices
· Ability to review and identify point of failures in system design and make alternate design decisions
· Decides, documents, and ensures adherence to software development life cycle for all digital products in line with industry and PepsiCo standards (Runbooks, Coding standards etc.)
· Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software engineering.
· Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, for both in house and vendor teams.
· Define best practices and solve common technical and process related problems applicable across projects
· Develop and manage project timelines and resources and notify leadership on delivery risks
Collaboration and Communication:
Highly skilled in vendor management and vendor governance to ensure quality deliver from vendor teams
· Ability to oversee and manage multiple products under development and priorities at the same time in a fast faced agile environment
· Excellent analytical, collaboration and communication skills (written and verbal)
Continuous Improvement:
· Identify opportunities to optimize software development processes, streamline workflows, and improve team efficiency.
· Implement agile methodologies and practices to enable iterative development, continuous integration, and timely delivery.
· Drive the adoption of DevOps practices to enhance software deployment and maintenance.
· Exposure to SNOW (incident management, Change management)
· Exposure to production support process or DevOps Model
Learning and Growth:
· Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, Intelligent Automation Tools & Platforms and industry trends to contribute fresh ideas and approaches to Digital Factory Product Development
· Invest time to Complete Training & Certifications for the Core & Aspirational Tech Stacks (Tools/Platforms)
· Invest time to learn about Organisation (PepsiCo, GBS & DF) & Digital Products
Qualifications
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
· Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in software development, with at least 2+ years in handling multi-team enterprise projects
· Strong technical background with proficiency in one of the relevant programming languages and technologies(understanding of RPA/UI path tools Or deep knowledge of AI services on cloud Or Deep expertise in developing full stack digital solutions)
· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Experience with agile methodologies and software development lifecycle.
· Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical contributions.
· Track record of successfully delivering software projects on time and within scope (Digital transformations preferred)
· Problem-solving mindset and ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
· Strong organizational and project management skills.
