Manage the site’s manufacturing network, Industrial communication and automated systems. Be the custodian for control system standards, execute improvements to the plant control systems through Management of Change Process. Support ‘Design’ and ‘Execution’ teams for capital project delivery. Provide Technical Leadership to the Engineering support team and build controls knowledge and capability into the shift teams.

Responsibilities

·  Effective Management of the factory PLC, SCADA and IT Network systems, ensuring targets for availability and data integrity are met, compliance to business standards and audits are maintained.
·  Manage and implement support contracts and system upgrades to maintain the value and concurrency of the systems.
·  Ensure use of a change control process for all control systems on site including Control System Documentation (URS, FDS, SDS, FST, SAT).
·  Support Operations departments, R&D and Group Engineering with performance analysis data and reports.
·  Identify opportunities for improved control and production information, generating clear action plans and benefits.
·  Support the Front-Line teams on technical breakdowns.
·  Improve capability for System/Shift technicians on all aspects of the computer control systems.
Qualifications

·  Electrical Engineer qualified to minimum of HNC with knowledge and experience of electrical control panels, instrumentation system, control system architecture, Industrial Networks and machine automation.
·  Excellent working knowledge and experience of SCADA systems, PLC’s and industrial networks.
·  Able to demonstrate basic skills in high-level language programming.
·  Excellent fault-finding skills.
·  Strong knowledge and experience of process and packaging system/machine technologies.
·  Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate across multiple customer base and functions.
·  Experienced coach and able to build capability in Shift Engineering teams in fault analysis, root cause failure analysis and rectification, and higher-level systems fault recovery.
·  Excellent planning and Organisational skills.
·  Excellent influencing, presentation, communication and decision-making skills.
·  Experienced in providing Technical Installation and Commissioning support.
