Your mission:

As part of DX (Demand Acceleration) department, the Business Insights and Category Management Lead will directly report to Head of DX Portugal and is a key leadership role responsible for driving strategic initiatives across channels. This position demands a deep understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and competitive landscapes to optimize the assortment, pricing, promotion, and placement of products. The Advanced Business Insights and Category Management Lead will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance the overall shopping experience, maximize revenue, and achieve business objectives. (Channels: Hipers+ Supers, Discounts, Cash & Carry, Proximity, Traditional Trade, Gas Stations and AFH).

Responsibilities

Your day to day with us:

· 
Work cross-functionally to integrate insights (Consumer, Shopper, Category, Customer, Financial Attractiveness, etc.) to establish the foundation for category growth strategy and develop compelling category selling stories for customers.

· 
Lead the development of a 3-5 year customer-centric growth vision for the category.

· 
Drive the WCCE process (Discovery, Big Bets, T2T, and Growth Summits) with top customer management to foster strategic cooperation in top customers.

· 
Lead the team in creating the Assortment & Shelving strategy per customer, including new segment creation on shelf, SKU rationalization, facings vs. variety analysis, OOS analysis, and planograms.

· 
Lead collaboration with retail partners to design effective in-store layouts, enhancing product visibility and improving the overall customer experience.

· 
Collaborate within multidisciplinary Brand & Account teams, providing insights, advice, and supporting the development of relevant innovation.

· 
Identify, create, and quantify sales programs and opportunities as part of the annual operating plan (AOP & IPB circle), such as single-serve initiatives and innovation distribution.

· 
Champion the integration of the Shopper's voice into commercial plans, actions, and selling stories among different teams, shaping the overall strategy.

· 
Manage external consultants and agencies, ensuring their projects and research meet high-quality standards and adhere strictly to deadlines.

Qualifications

What will you need to suceed?:

·  Minimum 3 years experience preferable in 2 or more different areas as Project Management, Trade Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Category, Shopper Insights
·  Cross functional expertise, ability to manage x-functional internal and external teams.
·  High business knowledge as it is needed a broad perspective of different subjects/departments to identify channel opportunities
·  Deep knowledge of Insights Tools such as AIP loyalty card data from SONAE, EMNOS ANALYZER tool from Pingo Doce, Nielsen, Spaceman, etc.
·  Fluency in both English and Portuguese. Spanish language is a plus.
