Responsibilities
· Lead the Agricultural technical agenda in potatoes in Sebia through design and implementation of specific technical platforms
· Lead commercial negotiations with local/ international suppliers of both potato/seeds and technical services
· Work within the PepsiCo European and Global Agricultural Technical Organisations to leverage existing practices
· Provide technical leadership to the supplier base and be a driver of change and performance improvement for the business in line with Commercial priorities. This includes providing capability to respond to the Business need for raw potato quality, yield performance, niche & new products, domestic sourcing requirements, productivity and the need to comply with regulatory, environmental (including Sustainability), health & wellness demands for our raw materials.
· Implementation of technical and specific crop solutions
· Sustainability (SFI) – Carbon and Water Resource Management – Potatoes and supplier sourced crops – providing consultation
· Performance tracking and review of current agricultural platforms – flexed for seasonal volatility – providing consultation and information.
· Consolidating KPI information and producing executive reporting and recommendations – providing information to support decision making to R&D, Procurement, Quality
· Sourcing new technologies and practices – providing consultation and decision making to Procurement, Quality and Regulatory Compliance.
Qualifications
· University Degree in Agricultural Science or a related field
· Minimum 5 years working in Agriculture or Supply Chain Technical role with a high degree of agronomic job content
· Team management skills
· Excellent analytical skills and ability to clearly communicate with all levels of the organization and suppliers
· Advanced negotiation skils while working with suppliers
· High level of Computer literacy (PowerPoint & Excel)
· Fluent in English language
