Job Description

We are looking for individuals who have the drive and hunger to progress at PepsiCo and be the face of our products to our Retail Impulse customers. We are looking to recruit an account development representative.

Our account development representatives are one of the main factors of our success. The passion that they have for our brands and the dedication to achieve succeed is what increases our product sales and placements across the country. They establish long term relationships with outlets ensuring our products such as Walkers, Doritos and many others are always stocked.
Next time you pop into your local corner shop, have a look around and you will notice that our brands are on display in clear view. Part of this role is understanding what will increase sales for us and also the retailers. You will be fully trained in understanding how to spot opportunities and you will work in partnership with the retailers to increase growth. We understand that each of our customers is unique so you’ll be using both your sales expertise and your ability to establish relationships to make recommendations on what products they should stock, inform them of new and exciting campaigns they can expect to see from us and generally make sure that all of our brands are being represented in the best possible way they can be.
Our Account development representatives go above and beyond every day, they help retailers with merchandising to ensure the products are displayed in the best way, even if it involves rolling your sleeves up.

You will balance your own territory, develop your business and grow your own customer base. You will visit up to 30 retailers per day and secure transfer orders. You’ll be out on the road working independently a lot of the time, so you'll need to be proactive with phenomenal time management skills.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Growing the number of active buying stores in total call file through new stores activations.
- You will drive financial performance and customer service through the key responsibilities.
- Be responsible for your call file by reporting customer call outcomes/challenge insights
- Ability to build effective working relationships, with both customers and 3rd party delivery drivers to secure 100% order fulfilment and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to flex communication style with retailers (Face to Face, Phone, Messaging)
- Provide Category & Range recommendations supported by insights (trusted advisors)
- Use financial reasoning to support recommendations (Profit Margins)
- Communicate effectively with the PepsiCo Manager to relay opportunities / issues
- Perform against critical metrics (Calls / Day, Converted Retailers, Distribution & Revenue, Point Of Sale Execution)
- Managing the order process from agreement in store through to delivery completion.
- Maintaining 100% coverage compliance of existing call file service by following a pre defined journey plan.
- Nurturing and strengthening the relationship between Account development representative and delivery driver to ensure process from sale to delivery is completed to increase fulfilment rates.

Qualifications/Requirements

What we are looking for:
·  Full, manual, UK driving licence
·  Target driven and the ability to work to achieve daily revenue target, new call target and daily KPI’s.
·  Strong communication skills
·  A "can-do" attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond
·  Knowledge of the FMCG Marker (Desirable)
·  Ability to learn and apply sales presentations with customers
·  Ability to understand basic reporting (percentages and indexes)
·  Capable to organise the agenda and set personal goals per store
·  Resilient and keen to face challenges
·  Flexibility to adapt selling style to different customers
·  Strong selling skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with customers to influence the order
